Meeting options in Teams

I have a regular meeting set up for my calls and us the meeting options setting so I can use the lobby function. This has worked all term. However on Friday when I went to start the meeting the pupils were already in the meeting, I couldn't share my screen and other users could take control tell of the lesson content. After the meeting I deleted the recurring event and tried to reorganise it, but I no longer had the meeting options tab (so I could set it up with a lobby etc) by the time/date tab. I've checked what account I'm using, I've looked out and back in, I've contacted our administrator but nothing gives me back the meeting options...
