How to Check What Type of Active Directory is in use?

Is it possible to see what type of Active Directory is in use from the Microsoft 365 Admin center?

I am trying to see not just if a cloud, hybrid, or on-prem Active Directory is in use, but which specific type (i.e. AAD Application Proxy) is being used. I have been trying to figure out how to do this, but keep hitting a wall, and every resource I come across doesn't walk me through the mechanics of how to actually find this information.

There’s a couple of things you can check in various places:

* Check if Azure AD Connect is enabled: go to the AAD admin portal, select Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect. This way you know if hybrid identities are used with on prem AD

* Check if any Application Proxies are configured: same as above but select Application proxy instead

* Have a look at individual identities: there is a directory synced and source attribute which tells you where the identity originates
