In Excel or via VBA, users can select multiple ranges. However, in the Javascript API, selecting multiple, discontiguous ranges is not available. I would love for this to be supported please! Currently: - RangeAreas does not have a select() function. - Workbook does not have a setSelectedRanges function. - Range has select(), but does not allow qualifying multiple cells/ranges as a single range: activeWorksheet.getRange("A1, B2").select(); // fails on getRange() Thanks! Most routes starting with /users/{...}/... allow id or UserPrincipalName to access the response object. Like calendar, events, drive and so on. Even /users/{UserPrincipalName}/teamwork/installedApps is allowed. But presence must have id and doesn't work with UserPrincipalName. This seams inconsistent to me. Therefore, to keep it consistent: Get access through /users/{id or UserPrincipalName}/presence. var graphClient = new GraphServiceClient(requestAdapter);

With the new NCE changes to M365 licensing, the commitment term for a license becomes extra important because it affects their price. When querying information about licenses or subscribedSkus, there is no information telling us what the term duration (P1M/P1Y/..) and billing plan (monthly/yearly/..) is.
We need to retrieve this information through the Graph API. Can it be added to the response for either of these two endpoints?
Similarly, when assigning a license to a user using assignLicense, there is no way to set the commitment term (monthly/yearly/etc).

Ask: Make Backstage-New and the Office Welcome screen extensible so that add-ins like the officeatwork Template Chooser can serve custom organizational templates to users. Currently, a new empty document is created before an extensibility surface can be presented to the users. This for instance leads to many unwanted ‘empty’ documents stored in OneDrive for Office online. Additionally, think about allowing M365 admins to switch off any other template provider to avoid presenting non-brand compliant templates to Office users.

While importing image manually into PowerPoint Desktop slide, aspect ratio of this image is locked by default so that when user drags the corner of an image, it is being resized accordingly with proper ratio. However the behaviour is different while using 'Office.context.document.setSelectedDataAsync' for inserting images, in this case ratio is NOT locked by default which may result in image distortion. Would it be possible to control whether image ratio should be locked while using Office.context.document.setSelectedDataAsync? use case: Using our add-in, user imports an image containing visualization with certain aspect ratio. As image aspect ratio is not locked by default, every size change may lead to visualization distortion, which may impact data readability.

“We have integrated Google Analytics 4 into our application using the react-g4 library. The integration is successful in desktop Office apps, where user usage and events are tracked in Google Analytics as expected. However, when we load the add-in in Office web, none of the events are being tracked, and user usage is not getting through analytics. We are wondering if Office web is blocking the tracking. With the current Office js API capabilities, to replace an image imported to the PowerPoint slide, it is required to navigate to the slide containing given image, then remove old image and insert new one. This behaviour interrupts user's workflow as he cannot perform any other action on different slide while refresh is in progress. Would it be possible to modify API so that replacing an image could be performed in the background without the need of changing active slide? use case: Using our add-in, user is able to refresh multiple images at once to import newest data, with the current Office js API capabilities, user needs to wait for the refresh operation to end as with each image refresh, active slide would be changed accordingly to the one containing image that will be replaced. This behaviour generates unnecessary waiting time and significantly decreases user performance as refreshing multiple images may take up to few minutes.

It would be nice if the Graph API could allow developers to specify $select parameters for nested properties. Currently the $select parameters only work for "top-level" properties, but if they worked with nested properties as well, it could further help to limit the amount of data returned and reduce the size of the JSON response. Some of the nested properties can be rather large like the driveItem 'parentReference' property. This is an 'itemReference' resource type and if it is $select 'ed, you end up having to get everything, even if you only cared about retrieving the 'id'. Something like the following would be ideal: GET /drive/{drive-ID}/items/{item-ID}?$select=id,name,parentReference:id And get back something like this: {

Currently using Office js API it is not possible to move object between slide without removing it and inserting again on different slide resulting in shapeId change. Would it be possible to add an API method for moving images between slides? use case: User wants to move imported image to a different slide, he cannot copy and paste it to a different slide as shapeId would change and we'd lose track of this object in the add-in

Hi, we are doing a project where we create a lot of shapes on a slide using the PowerPoint API, and would need to group these so the created object could be seen as one. This would make it easier to move around for the user. Is there any plan on supporting grouping from the API? Also, is there any good place to see what's coming in the PowerPoint API? Currently the PowerPoint preview API is empty and has been for a very long time.

We need the Microsoft Graph API to return the following properties. Can they be added to the Graph API endpoint GET "/directory/onPremisesSynchronization"? DirSyncServiceAccount DirSyncApplicationType DirSyncClientMachineName DirSyncClientVersion We currently get these properties from the Get-MsolCompanyInformation, Get-MsolDirSyncConfiguration or Get-MsolDirSyncFeatures cmdlets from MSOnline but that module is EOL and also does not work for us partners who use GDAP. In /beta/organization the property onPremisesSyncEnabled is null if it is disabled and instead we think it should return the boolean false. When it is enabled it returns boolean true.

COM and VSTO add-ins aren't supported in the new Outlook on Windows : The new Outlook on Windows aims to unify the extensibility experience across all Outlook platforms. To provide a more reliable and stable add-in experience, VSTO and COM add-ins aren't supported in the new Outlook on Windows. To ensure your add-in continues to work in the new Outlook on Windows, you must migrate your VSTO or COM add-in to an Outlook web add-in. The major issue for us is that the ribbon access and customization is somewhat non-existent in Outlook web add-ins. We can only have in the manifest : - Button controls that execute a JavaScript function or show a task pane - Menu controls composed of items that execute a JavaScript function or show a task pane This is way too limited. We need the Ribbon API currently only available in Excel to be able to enable and disable add-in commands programmatically and create contextual tabs. We also need more controls like toggle buttons and checkboxes. All these things are available in COM and VSTO add-ins but not in Outlook web add-ins, which renders the migration impossible. At this point of time in Outlook web add-ins, we can't even have a simple button control or menu item that enables a custom add-in feature with a label "Enable this [feature]" and make this button / item appear enabled when the user clicks it since there is no way to dynamically change the label to display another text such as "Disable this [feature]" and there is no toggle or checkboxes buttons available either.
