Pic a number from a gap

Hi,

I want to do an automatic formula to give me the % of IRS. For example, the salary is x and I have a table whit the information:

until x-1is 2%

until x+1 is 3%

So x will have the 3% of IRS. How can I do this automatically in excel?

When you use a LOOKUP there are options to find the match based on the list being in an order. The newest and most flexible is XLOOKUP which you can choose BOTH if you want to pick exact or next smaller or larger AND pick if or how your list is ordered.
