the excel filter function is stopping at a particular line. The database has no hidden lines or other options selected. what may cause this to occur?

There could be a few reasons why the Excel filter function is stopping at a particular line: The filter range may not be correctly selected: Make sure that the entire range of the data is selected when applying the filter. The data in the column may have hidden characters or formatting issues: Check for any hidden characters or formatting issues in the column, such as leading or trailing spaces or non-printable characters. The data in the column may contain errors or inconsistencies: Check for any errors or inconsistencies in the data, such as misspelled words or inconsistent formatting. The filter function may be applied incorrectly: Double-check that the filter function is applied correctly and that all necessary filter criteria are included. If none of these solutions work, try copying the data to a new sheet and reapplying the filter function to see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you, I will try all of these. It was working well for years then for some reason is not picking up the latest data from the same column.  It filters to a certain spot then the rest is not filtered.

I've removed and reapplied the filter function and unhidden anything.

If I may add these suggested solutions...

There could be several reasons why the Excel filter function is stopping at a particular line.

Here are a few things you can check:

  1. Make sure that the data in the column you are filtering on is consistent. For example, if you are filtering on a column of dates, make sure that all the dates are entered in the same format.
  2. Check for blank rows or columns in your data. If there are blank rows or columns within your data range, the filter may not work correctly.
  3. Make sure that your data range is correctly defined. If your data range is not correctly defined, the filter may not include all of your data.
  4. Check for merged cells within your data range. Merged cells can sometimes cause issues with filtering.

If none of these solutions work, you may want to try clearing the filter and reapplying it to see if that fixes the issue.

I hope one of these solutions works for you!
