CONNECTIONS

Copper Contributor

GOOD MORNING,

I AM NOT ABLE TO GET RID OF TWO OLD CONNECTIONS from my current file excel. THOSE COMMECTIONS CAME FROM TWO old EXCEL FILES I GOT READ OF. apparently

Apparently connections cannot be interrupted if the origin files can't be retrieved. Any tip?

thank you

giovanni

Solution

@GIOVANNI1969  You need to break the connection with the external reference.  There is 'existing connections' button under the DATA tab.  These external references can sometimes be hidden and hard to find.  They can be in graphs and charts, defined names, and other location.  If you can't find them I recommend this tool:

https://manville.org.uk/software/findlink.htm

Hope this helps.

I had found it but it told me that connection couldn't be breached as the original file was removed (origin impossible to find)

sorted!!

many thanks
