UPDATE 3: 320.5 has been released with the fix for Netflix not working.
UPDATE 2: 320.4 has been released with the fix for the Task Bar icons issue. The Netflix issue is expected to be fixed in another update tomorrow.
UPDATE: We're expecting to release a small update in the next day or two to fix an issue where users with multiple browser profiles still see the old Edge icon on the Task Bar, and an issue where Netflix doesn't work.
Hello insiders, we’ve got some big news today! With today’s Dev Channel update to 80.0.320.3, we’re officially releasing a new icon for all Microsoft Edge channels. You can read more about it here: https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2019/11/04/edge-chromium-release-candidate-get-ready. That page also contains a date, January 15th, which is when we expect to release our first Stable Channel build, at which point Edge will be generally available to download on Windows and Mac.
Some of you may have noticed a cryptic update last week. That was part of a series of puzzles that hundreds of insiders participated in over the past weekend. The puzzles culminated in a surfing game hidden inside Edge, and the reward for beating it was the chance to see the new icon before anybody else. You can click here for instructions on how to unlock the game, or just search Twitter for #FindWhatsNext to try solving some of the puzzles!
With all of these exciting announcements, we do have a few known issues that are still in this week’s build:
And now, for all of the new things that are worth noting:
Added features:
Improved reliability:
Changed behavior:
Thank you to everybody who’s been using Edge over the past year. With our GA just around the corner, we hope you know that this is just the beginning of our journey. The Edge Insider program and builds will continue even when there’s a Stable build available, and your feedback on them will be as crucial as ever!

@Jamie_Thelin
Hi Jamie,
I tried both of these sites. Seem fine, although, I didn't, actually play a video; I'd have to register to be able.
Cheers,

I still miss the favicon on the tabs while loading.
I can't finalize a purchase from Mercado Livre (Brazil), browser error.
Already reported but still unable to complete the purchase. In other browsers is working, I did the test.

Hi,
The site opens for me. I didn't create an acc't, but, went as far as I could without that as if making a purchase with no issues. Can't say what I'd have if trying to complete the purchase.
Cheers,
Hola
El sitio se abre para mí. No creé un acc't, pero.fui tan lejos como pude sin eso como si hacer una compra sin problemas. No puedo decir lo que tendría si tratara de completar la compra.

Ok, well I tried... it will only take American Zip Codes. Would not take a Canadian Postal Code, so, couldn't complete to make a purchase. As far as I did go, no errors.
WOW, looking at browser history sure makes it easy to find & revisit a previous site!
Cheers,
Drew
Salud,
Drew

I also got this issue when update from dev 79 to 80, a temporary fix is uninstalling the v80 and install an old version, then disable all the extensions and do an update to 80.
Today I got another update from 80.0.320.3 to 320.4, it seems the consistency issue of the task bar menu still exist. I think it is due to the profile, because the icon in start menu use a some kind of neutral profile, but the taskbar icon use your active personal profile.
I am using multi-profile on my office PC, because it is in a domain and the "work" profile is auto added and can not be deleted

@CrayBeta
It is good you have a fix or workaround for people experiencing this. I, too, now, have 320.4. No such issues now nor before w/ 320.3
There is an issue the Team is looking to fix, but, it is not affecting everyone. BTW, I'll point out, people have been saying this problem is in Dev. The version numbers you have mentioned are Canary. Ergo, it applies to both.... unless one is unaffected, of course. I'm one of those with all 3 Channels perfectly fine.
Cheers,
Drew

I had this problem with Edge Dev after the update yesterday - every attempt to run it, the window opened with the 'restore' message, but it then immediately crashing.
What finally fixed it for me was (very quickly, before the crash) clicking on the Home button. It actually loaded the home page and has been fine from then on.
Doesn't help for people who don't have the home button showing ...

Hey, at least, y'all are providing each other w/ helpful suggestions & remedies, at least until the situation is rectified.
Cheers,

@DavidGB As long as you stop the update page from loading it doesn't crash (Stop/Home). Then you can self-close and open Edge again without problems (and a new taskbar icon).

Thanks for trying, but that's not it. I know how to set it already. What I want is for edgeium, to tell me when it isn't the default, as pretty much every browser has done since... well, forever. My office, resets the defaults via GPO, and I only know it's happened, by either having a link open in the wrong browser, or by manually going into default apps every day. i'd rather just have edge tell me when i open it, that it isn't the default. It used to do that several months ago, even providing a nice link right into default apps, but it doesn't seem to anymore, and I wish that it would.

Geeez, took me a minute for the light to come on, hence the delay answering you.
I want to talk about Edge for a moment, but, with the default browser set to something else such as, an Edge C Insider Channel. When & if Edge is (now) opened there's a query about what browser is selected. I'm not wording this well. Anyway, it's what your mentioning. When Edge C is the embedded browser, when it replaces Edge... NOW, the same would come with Edge in the same scenario.
It has to be realised & keep mindful the difference, currently, between Edge & these beta Channels. One is entrenched in the OS, the other is not (yet). The Channels a running more like apps than anything. Being tested outside on top of the OS not, in it, so to speak. Here, another example is Timeline. Right now, it works with Edge not Edge C. Once Edge C takes its place, IT will work with Timeline. It is not fully tied to the OS, presently, the way Edge is. When that changes, other things will, also.
Cheers,
Drew

@Aionion wrote:It's possible I'm blind, but where in the heck has the option to have Edge/Edgium/Whatever check if it's the default browser gone? Normally I hate that feature and have to turn it off in most browsers, but my office keeps resetting the default browser to Chrome, and I don't know its done that unless i manually check it, or click a link and get the wrong browser. I'd like for Edge to tell me when it isn't default, but it isn't, and I can't find a setting that will make it.
There isn't such option in the Edge insider settings yet, if they are changing your default browser, you need to change it back using the Windows 10 settings

@Drew1903 That´s a bit hard to do when Edge is crashing directly after opening it.
Hence the Powershell option ;)
