Re: Edge Beta / Dev / Canary not starting
They very much have! All of the dumps seem to be crashing when trying to read a particular registry key. Can you (and anybody else with this issue) try deleting the MetricsReportingEnabled DWORD under Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\ and see if that fixes it?4.6KViews0likes7CommentsRe: MSEDGE "View the details of digital signatures in PDFs" not working
You'll note that what all those publications have in common is that they mention you still need to enable the flag to get access to the feature, which means it's very much not finished and still in development. As long as the only way to get to a feature is via its flag, it should always be considered under development and not supported, and its functionality can change at any time.7.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: ukons.click notifications
Either a nefarious website or a malicious ad asked for permission to show notifications, and it was granted at some point. Those popups saying they have malware are THEMSELVES malware and should not be clicked on under any circumstances. Besides turning off those notifications in Windows settings, there should be a way to remove those notifications from edge://settings/content/notifications1.4KViews0likes1CommentRe: Edge Beta / Dev / Canary not starting
rdwing2 Beta should be at version 105, so you may want to re-download the installer. Otherwise though, it looks like most of you are hitting a different issue, which is what I wanted to find out. One last thing: do any of you have crash dumps in Edge's App Data that correspond to trying to open the browser? They would be in %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge Beta <or Edge Dev>\User Data\Crashpad\reports I won't be surprised if you don't though.4.6KViews0likes9CommentsRe: microsoft edge dev not working
Okay, if you don't have any other programs installed that we know have conflicted with Edge in the past, there are a few other things we can check. If a crash is causing this, then you'll find a bunch of crash dumps in %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge Dev\User Data\Crashpad\reports. It would also be really good to know if the same thing happens in Edge Canary, since its newer than Dev and therefore could rule out a product bug if Canary doesn't end up doing the same thing.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Discord screen share freezes when Edge open
It looks like, in that video, it's only a single application that's being shared, and the team is curious if the same thing will happen if the entire screen is shared in Discord instead of just a single application. Apparently those two different modes use completely different window capture methods, so figuring out if only one method triggers this behavior would greatly help narrow down where the problem is.4.6KViews0likes3CommentsTop Feedback Summary for June 2022
Hey there, Insiders! We’re going to spend the next month going through the survey results you provided us. We saw a great response and we look forward to digging into how we can improve our feedback space for you. While most of the items on the list do not have an update this month, we are excited to share an update to Add ability to close tabs via double-click. Some of you may already have seen it, however we are currently testing it and would love to know your thoughts on this if you have it available in your Canary channel. We expect this to show up for more users over the course of the next month, so we are marking it as Planned for July this week. That’s it for this update! We will be back in August with your next update. Did you know we have a new portal in which you can submit feedback on what changes you want to see? You can search to see if your idea is already on the https://aka.ms/EdgeFeedback, or post it up to get other likeminded people to comment and vote on your suggestion. Have something you think might be more of a bug? Send it to us directly through the in-app feedback tool by heading to the … menu > Help and feedback > Send feedback and include diagnostics. Detailing exactly what you see will ensure that the team understands the issue at hand, and if you include your email address it offers you the ability to receive email updates whenever we take action on your item. Until our next update, Insiders. Happy browsing!
