Android App - incoming calls ring on handset but no option to answer the call?
When the phone is locked or the screen is off, incoming calls will ring / vibrate but there is no way to answer the call. Even unlocking the phone and going into the Team app doesn't activate the dialpad. Eventually the call goes to voicemail and a missed call notification comes up. Have tried deleting and reinstalling the app but no success. This seems to have been an issue for some users last year looking at earlier posts.
Teams app version 1416/1.0.0.2019090401 on Android 9 Pie.
gbamp Been struggling with this as well but found the solution.
Go into Settings/Notifications/Teams/Incoming Calls
Select Incoming Calls ( Didn't realize there was a deeper menu)
Change to have Alert versus Silent. (Mine was set to Silent but I could still hear the call)
You can also choose to "Show As Pop Up"
With those changes, a pop up will appear that you can answer.
- Nic KuvshinoffCopper ContributorThis seems to do the trick. I would note that on Android 11 with Teams build "Version 1416/1.0.0.2021143402" there is no "Incoming Calls" option but now it seems to be Calls and Ongoing Calls to get to the same selections. It appears you need to select Default rather than Silent. Presumably silent ovverides whatever the phone is otherwise set to, and allows you to see the answer option.

Finally figured this out after more than a year. Slight modification to @Bryan Lue 's steps, I had to
On your Android phone,
Settings -> Notifications -> App notifications -> Teams -> Notification categories -> Allow notifications
Above was defaulted to turned off, no matter what other settings I had earlier. Turn that on, and voila!
This is on my Flip4

Folks,
Here's the latest from Microsoft on this issue:
"I would like to inform you that, as it is a global issue, the engineering team is actively working on this issue and it should be resolved within this year as all the android 10 users are facing the issue"
Not great, but at least some sort of commitment on a fix, better than the AIP email encryption issue that we've seen on Outlook fo Mac, took MS 18 months to fix that one...
- kennymetecCopper ContributorThanks for the update. I really hope they fix this bug soon. It's majorly affecting our work for out of hours support because we can't answer the phones when the PC isn't on nor can we check the caller ID to call them back!
- mikekeatsCopper ContributorSo then, my version of Team client was updated to version 1416/2020052702 during the night and a call to a Call Queue has worked? Has anyone else had this work?
- danhidoCopper ContributorCouple new pieces of information:
A member of our Team tested Teams on an older Galaxy S5 with Android 6 installed and was able to receive and answer inbound calls from Call Queues successfully.
Got word back from Microsoft that they were able to re-produce the issue with Android 10 and they will get back to me with a work-around and/or timeline on this issue being resolved.
Looks like it's a waiting game now...- mikekeatsCopper ContributorThat's interesting, was the version of Teams the latest one?
Very good news that Microsoft have finally managed to do some testing and replicate it. I am going to chase them tomorrow and see what they say because not heard anything since the weekend.- danhidoCopper ContributorYes, running the latest version of Teams.
This re-enforces other info that I've found that there's a bug in Google's API for Android 10 and the hook(s) that MS is using for Call Queues in Teams is impacted by it.

When I try to reach these setting I get: The app wasn't found in the list of installed apps.
Teams is installed through the company portal option. I could not find any way to give more access to Teams.

As of August 11, 2020, when I go into Android -> MS Teams -> Settings -> Notifications...there is no "Teams" nor anything about incoming calls.
MS really needs to fix this. Literally no way to answer an incoming Teams call. Terrible.

- Adam1675Copper ContributorSame problem here. Android on Note 10+5g. Office 365 business premium.
Teams rings but no GUI to enable answering. - Guido PeterIron ContributorSame here. The only workaround We found, is to swipe down, from the top of the screen. On this Toaster popup, you can answer. But explain this to a 0815 User!

Guido PeterI have tried that but there's no notification when I swipe down, just keeps ringing. I have notifications turned on for Teams.
- Guido PeterIron ContributorPlease also make sure, that battery is not optimized for Teams. Settings, Battery, Optimization.
