Client names not showing in appointment titles on calendar
Many of our team are experiencing this issue, and it just hit me today too - the booking appointment on our Outlook calendar no longer shows the customer's name in the title. It still shows in the appointment if opened but not in the appointment title.
Major productivity issue - having to go into every single appointment to see who is next on your appointment list, rather than just a quick glance.
Anyone have a fix?
- Microsoft has stated to me the code change that caused the issue has been reverted. Should start to see issues resolved on new appointments, existing ones may still have issues.

- KrisH1010Copper ContributorI am a new bookings user, and for the past few weeks, the names were showing on my calendar. This week, they stopped showing up as well. Looks like the "bug" is back?
- ShelburnieCopper ContributorWe’ve found that for meetings that have:
- 1:1 (one staff host and one customer) the customer name will show up in the calendar
- 1:N (one host and more than one customer) the hosts will need to open the Bookings app or Bookings app in Teams to see who the customers are
- N:1 (multiple hosts and one customer) should show the customer name in the calendar but we have had a particular calendar where it didn’t. In that case a new additional host had been added recently and that seemed to break it.- bashdownCopper Contributor
Shelburnie still doesn't work for me 😞 the main calendar still does not show customer name 😞
- SharonDavisACCopper Contributoryou prob need proper IT support not just a curious user like me!

We have found a fix/reason for this issue - if you set the 'maximum number of meeting attendees' (within edit 'Service') to anything higher than the default 1 person then no name appears in the calendar invite. However, if you leave it as default for only one person then this issue does not happen.
Unfortunately we have found that it is not easy to reduce the maximum number back down to 1 and you need to delete the calendar / service and start again.
Hope this helps- bashdownCopper Contributor
SharonDavisAC I've got the same issue I think. The subject of the Service calendar entry and indeed the calendar entry in outlook for the staff member assigned to the booking has the name of the service and the name of the customer.
But the overall booking calendar entry only has the name of the service. We need the name of the customer there too. Can anyone help?
Service calendar including customer name 🙂
Booking calendar not including customer name 😞
- SharonDavisACCopper ContributorOur IT support told us to delete the calendar (they had to do it for us - for some reason its not that easy to do it ourselves) and then start again making sure we only added a single user for the service. When my colleague did that she got the names of the attendee showing up in her outlook invites. Hope that helps

Over the past week we're also experiencing all of the issues mentioned in this thread - customer/service name disappearing from calendars, staff not getting emails when bookings are made, a different customer's name showing up in the subject line when the company is notified of another customer's booking when it's a 1:many service. I've logged a support ticket with Microsoft and they are investigating. Good to know it's not just us and must be bugs.

Shelburnie I am still having this issue with multiple seat booking. Just checking to see if you received any answer from your support ticket? Thanks in advance.

sergeantshriner Microsoft just got back to me yesterday to advise they are still working on this issue.
Apparently they have resolved a couple of the other issues - regarding bookings spontaneously cancelling etc.

Issue seems to be resolved - I did a complete new test with a new Booking calendar and the issue did NOT appear. I saw the client names appear as it used to in the titles on the calendar. See below

I just did a test booking - the name is showing in my email confirmation, but it's still not showing on the calendar block. Granted - this was completed with the Booking calendar that has been experiencing issues, so maybe one has to create a new Booking calendar?
- JoeCann300Copper Contributor
Hello - It works with all old calendars too which were initially affected when I finally tested with affected users. So it is a general fix irrespective of the age of the Bookings Calendar. Check your Bookings settings again - especially notifications settings. Best of luck.

We are still having this issue. Is the resolution just to make an entirely new Booking Calendar? ThomasSchwoerer
- ThomasSchwoererIron ContributorNo, new Bookings site was not needed. Microsoft had fixed it in the back-end of Bookings service as a whole, not anything on our side/tenant. We haven't seen it come back yet as others have.

ThomasSchwoerer Hi There, do you know if this was ever resolved? We are having the same issue. Thank you in advance
- Lisa RudyBrass ContributorOur users are reporting the issue as well.
- Leon_van_der_ZandenCopper Contributor
ThomasSchwoerer The problem was solved, but this week, after almost 6 months, it appeared again. Am I the only one or do others have the same issue again?
- NFPChrisBrass ContributorYes, still having this issue today. Are Microsoft looking at this at all?
- cabeaudoin4Brass ContributorSame here, we are aware of this issue since the beginning of september along with few other issues: - No email sent to the Bookings owner and no update in outlook when the client rescheduled - No internal note are shown in Outlook or Bookings calendar - Email are not formatted with the correct language, despite the page is correctly configurated - Teams link in Bookings calendar are broke (shown in plain text) and does not show correctly in email (not a button but a long hyperlink) Most of these issue are since the beginning of september for us.
- ThomasSchwoererIron ContributorI have a ticket open with Microsoft. They state they have discovered the issue and are working on a fix.
- j777Copper ContributorI am also having this issue...
- solimourCopper Contributor
The same here, did you find a solution ?
calculuscat- calculuscatCopper ContributorNo solution sadly. I gave up - too many bugs with Bookings. I went with a different tool temporarily but I actually like it better, and will likely give up on Bookings altogether at this point.
- KaylaHaroldCopper Contributor
calculuscat we picked a terrible month to implement Bookings, nothing but problems but at least I can tell from this and other posts here that we aren’t alone in our struggles… may I ask what other tool you’re using temporarily?
- Burnsie6804Copper Contributor
We're having the same issue.
- LazySquirrelCopper ContributorWe're also experiencing this situation, and is counterproductive if you're speaking about tons of customer meetings that we need to go through. Do you have any idea were we can report this functionality?
