Planner keeps loggin out?
Hi there, Planner is asking me to login every 5 minutes or so. I'm using it on Firefox (latest update) with my Enterprise subscription. After the message pops-up I cannot add attachments from Sharepoint (need to login again). My Office session is logged on all the time. Does anyone knows how to solve this? Thanks in advance.
Issue when opening Planner via browser
Hello everyone, we are currently experiencing an issue when opening Planner via browser: every time, the sign-in screen appears and we are asked to sign in with our Microsoft account. This happens even though we open it directly via https://planner.cloud.microsoft. After we sign in, close the browser, and open Planner again, we are prompted with the sign-in screen once more. While checking the cookies, I've noticed that no authentication information was created when signing in via direct url. Using https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps/ and open Planner from the Apps section, it creates authentication information in Edge / in the cookies. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is this a known / general problem?
Planner Grid View Configurations
I would like to have some additional configurable features to better organize Grid view for planner. The ability to sort by various fields. Start by date and due by date, for example. The ability to add and / or group by additional fields such as Label. Additional date range filters to allow for anything due now + X number of days, for example.Ability to send an email to Planner and create a Task
Is this on the roadmap? Our organization is starting to lose the battle of using Planner instead of Trello, pretty much because of the sole feature that Trello allows you to send an email to a specific email address and it will automatically create a Task. It is quite a simple model: Email Subject = Task Title Email Body = Task Description Email Attachments = Task Attachments This would be a massive win for adoption. Group Sub-Task by Parent and then by Bucket Option
I'd like to display sub-tasks under the parent task in Grid view, similar to how the old Planner in Grid view displayed checklists and then by Bucket. Is this functionality possible? If this feature could be added, it would allow us to discontinue using Asana.
Cannot see Task Chat for Planner app on iPhone
Hi, I am testing using the Planner app and have added a message in the Task Chat area via the web browser on a PC. I cannot see the message on the Planner app on the iPhone. I cannot see Task Chat anywhere on the iPhone. I can create a new message in the Comments section on the iPhone (in the Planner app), but cannot add comments using the web browser on a PC. The web browser wants me to use Task Chat, but cannot see that on the iPhone. Am I missing something simple here? Thanks Matt
Any word on exposing additional Planner triggers in Power Automate?
Right now, the ONLY triggers I can see are "when a new task is created", "when a task is completed", and "when a task is assigned to me". To make matters worse, even when using those I cannot read/write to custom fields using on Premium Planner boards. Its really frustrating as it feels like we're paying more and getting less when it comes to the "premium" plans.Planner Agent does not work with Premium Plans
I have been toying around with Microsoft Planner Agent, and I am in love with the potential and the idea as to what it can help us do. It can help take meeting transcripts of weekly catch-up meetings and auto-populate/update different kanban cards and tasks and many other really cool and helpful features that will help DRASTICALLY reduce the time on menial admin work. However, these functionalities only work on basic plans, my team all have premium licenses and use a premium plan, and you would think planner agent would be able to work with premium plans, however, every time I try and leverage planner agent to create a task in our premium plan I keep getting the same response along the lines of: "this feature is not available for premium plans yet". You would think the opposite would be true, but I have chalked it up to the thought that since premium plans have more features, Microsoft haven't completely configured Microsoft Planner Agent to them yet. I would love to see if anyone else is dealing with this same problem, and if so, can share their experience to drive some visibility and SOU to this topic. I would also love to hear and see if anyone has any updates or timelines of when this feature would be available.Planner Not Loading (Blank Page) - Grid View Crashing On Chrome
Hi all I use Chrome and in just the last 24hrs, Planner stopped working as it was giving me a blank page when I loaded the URL. After investigating the console and trying Edge, incognito mode, deleting cookies/cache/data etc., we saw that the Chrome Developer Console reports "Uncaught ReferenceError: Cannot access 'B' before initialization at Module.CanvasUserTasksGridView" specifically within the "planner-canvasusertasksgridview component" We've confirmed that Board view works normally in Chrome, and the same plan and Grid view work correctly in Microsoft Edge. Additionally, Chrome is attempting to load some Microsoft Office font resources using malformed URLs containing a duplicated protocol, such as "https://https//res.cdn.office.net/..." which then fails with "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED" This makes it look like an issue with the Planner Grid component or its Chrome-specific resource loading rather than the plan or account itself. I will continuing using Edge for the meantime, but if there is a fix or workaround as we mainly discuss tasks in grid mode in meetings so it would be great to get this back working in my preferred browser. Any help would be great!
Updated 2026 Planner Issues
The new Planner initially seemed really great and useful, but over the past month a series of problems have occurred that make it difficult to use. I have already reported everything to Microsoft, but so far no support agent has been able to help me. The issues are as follows: When I tag a colleague in the chat, they do not receive the email with the message content — this is a feature that is supposed to work by design and was working fine until last month. Often when I try to type in the chat, it either doesn't type at all, or it types in a different task. When I click in a chat, it automatically tags all the people previously mentioned, or if I want to tag just one person, it ends up tagging all the others as well. Are you experiencing these issues too?
How to see all tasks by all staff over all planner boards in one schedule
Our Events staff work in Microsoft Teams in a team called COMMUNITY EVENTS. Each event they organise is represented as a channel. Each channel has its own Planner board to list tasks to complete that event. There are 6 staff as team members and they are all doing different types of tasks inside the same Planner board. There are currently 26 events going on, ergo 26 channels, 26 planner boards. This team needs to see ALL the tasks across all 26 channels / planner boards in one calendar. I cannot figure out how to do this. Does anybody have any ideas please? Also, if we were to create one team per event, rather than one channel per event, would that make achieving this overall calendar any easier? ThanksBulk task changes
Does anyone know how am I able to add dates to tasks in bulk if it's the same due date? How do I assign tasks in bulk to a specific person? These used to easily be done by selecting the sections and right clicking to change but many settings updated today and I am no longer able to do this.Planner Dashboards (Cross Planners, AD Direct Reports, Etc.)
What - if any - rollup capabilities do the planner dashboards have? I'm looking specifically to Planner as a solution for a central, simple, unified task management platform. I have been excitedly waiting for the custom template feature to roll out. My PMO group heavily utilizes Premium Plans only because of the need to have Dependencies tracked. I'm unable to create a template from a premium plan- basic only- which does not have the features that my team needs to use in Planner. Is there an estimated rollout date for custom template creation from Premium Plans?
