error when sharing list
Hi all, MS support was not helpful, so hope you can support me in how to fix. My wife and I we are using private @outlook.com accounts. We are heavy users of todo and we have some shared lists between our accounts. So far all good, all fine. Now if i create a new list, no matter if in browser, ios app, .... i have to switch to another list and to switch back to see the share button. If i click it, there is the error that a problem has occured and link can't get created. Please try again. If i do so, it works and a link is created. If my wife then tries to open such link, she gets the question if she wants to access list XYZ like it should be and it always was. If she does it, there is an error "the list was not found, please contact the person who shared with you. We have the exact behaviour if she tries to share with me. The exisitng, already shared lists, are running well. Any idea or thoughts, how to overcome this issue? Greetings, Dennis132Views6likes2CommentsTo Do Task Details Not Showing
When I am in To Do, I can only add and complete tasks. I no longer have the option to click in and see details, add notes, or edit titles. I can see the area they are supposed to pop up in, but I can't expand the side window or see any information.9Views0likes0CommentsVoice-Based Integration to Simplify Task Capture in Microsoft To Do
Hi everyone, We’re working on Gennie, a voice-based assistant designed to integrate with task and productivity tools like Microsoft To Do to make everyday task capture easier. Many tasks come up during meetings, calls, or while switching between apps, but they often get added to task lists later, sometimes missing important context. The goal of this integration is to let users speak tasks or reminders naturally and have them organized in Microsoft To Do, while keeping Microsoft To Do as the primary task manager. Some Microsoft To Do–specific use cases we’re exploring: Creating tasks using voice Adding notes or details to existing tasks hands-free Capturing quick reminders as they come up Reducing friction between conversations and task entry We’d love to hear from the community: Where does task capture slow you down today? Which Microsoft To Do actions would benefit most from voice input? Looking forward to learning from your workflows and feedback.14Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft ToDo not showing badges counts on a Mac

I've already tried to switch off and re-switch on the "Badge application icon" into the Notification menù of OsX. I've already tried to delete the app and re-install it. What can I do in order to fix this annoying issue? Many thanks and all the best, Luca93Views1like2CommentsMicrosoft To Do not working
Hello, My Microsoft To Do application is not working since I bought Office 365 Personal. The app shows a message "Gettings tasks list ready..." and it loads indefinitely. I tested on Windows application Microsoft To Do, Web application on Edge, Chrome or Firefox via https://to-do.live.com, Microsoft To Do application on iOS or Android, and also on different computers. It seems that my account is broken... The Microsoft support gave me the following ticket number 7091736234 Anyone can help me to solve this issue ? Thank you323Views0likes8CommentsFeatures Suggestions
I’ve been using Microsoft To Do for over five years, and I like its simplicity and reliability. That said, I believe a few additions could improve usability and productivity and would make To Do even more powerful without sacrificing its simplicity. the suggestions are: Start Date as a dedicated field: Currently, we only have the due date, and the start date ends up as a note. A proper start date field would help schedule task timelines more effectively. Task completion percentage: Instead of only checking tasks as done or not done, it would be great to manually set (or track) a progress indicator like 25%, 50%, 75%. Very useful for multi-step tasks. Voice-to-text input: For quick note-taking or adding tasks while walking, driving, or multitasking, a built-in voice-to-text feature would be extremely helpful. Search within individual lists: While the global search is useful, sometimes users need to search within a single list to stay focused and avoid unrelated results. Customizable task categories + filtering: Lists are helpful, but adding customizable categories or tags (separate from lists) would give users more flexibility. Paired with a filtering option, this would make organizing and navigating tasks much easier — especially for people managing work, personal, and project-based tasks in one place. Would love to hear if others feel the same — and hoping the team considers some of these in future updates!58Views0likes0CommentsTo Do Outlook Cal integration
As a leader/manager I need the ability to block time in my outlook calendar to do work (aka ToDo tasks). I would love to be able to easily add a To Do task in my calendar. And then need the ability to move/modify the task with minimal clicks, and check them off in the calendar AND/OR in a master To Do task list. The colors/categorization should be different To Do tasks that are not done and those that are done yet. For people who use their calendar as the backbone of their working day, this capability would be exceptionally useful. All the pieces exist, you just need to stitch them together. This truly would be a very substantial upgrade to my daily workflow.32Views0likes0CommentsList order not syncing between devices
The order of items in a list is not syncing between iPhone, Android, and Windows 11. If that list is open on both devices, the manual re-ordering happens immediately. But if it's not open on one device, then the changed order is not syncing after hours or days. The sync buttons are not working - having no effect on list order. This is a new issue - list order used to automatically update within a few minutes. Just started about a week ago. I'm doing anything different. List order is is a really important feature! I'm temporarily having manually reorder on every device. Not a sustainable solution.228Views2likes6Comments'TO DO' MICROSOFT *STAFF*
Is there a Microsoft staff member who's a specialist in To Do, pls? When you only get support staff who aren't familiar with To Do, and even the support page applies to an old version, it's necessary to give this feedback to a line mgr. They also need to view 2 transcripts from me that highlight all the extra work they're creating for themselves. Does anyone have an email address for the To Do support mgr? By PM if prefer.63Views0likes0CommentsHandwritten Tasks

Hi, Since Sept 7, 2025, I’ve had a problem with a shared list in Microsoft To Do. There are two users on the list. When the other user adds or completes a task, I get a notification but in my account the list itself does not update: the task still looks unchanged. This happens in all clients I use: web app on Windows PC and Android app (Galaxy A13 5G). If I add or complete tasks, everything syncs normally and the other user sees the updates. The other user does not have this problem. We tried reinstalling apps, rebooting devices, and even creating a new shared list, but the issue remains. Since the same behavior happens on every device with my account, it seems like a server-side sync problem rather than a device issue. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a known issue and are there any suggested workarounds? Thanks!194Views0likes1CommentLooking for Feedback on To-Do List Usage for Design thinking
Hello everyone I’m currently working on a design thinking project for a To-Do List apps and I’m trying to better understand how real users use task management tools like Microsoft To Do I would really appreciate it if you could share your experiences and problems by answering a few questions What features do you use most in to do list apps What are your biggest challenges or frustrations when using To-Do List apps Are there any features you wish existed in Microsoft To Do How do you usually organize your tasks and priorities Your feedback will be very valuable for my research and will help me design a more user-friendly task management experience Thank you so much for your time and insights Best regards117Views0likes1CommentDragging Task onto Outlook Calendar in Web does keep Category (color) (or notes or steps)
So categories could be useful. They have been added now to both the online ToDo app and Outlook Web Calendar. A great feature is in Outlook Calendar (web), you can choose from the top right the a ToDo list side menu and drag a task onto the calendar to make a quick 1/2 hour block and move it around. And you could color code this with categories. HOWEVER, they are not connected. If I choose a category (e.g. Purple) in ToDo and then drag onto the calendar the event does not have a category. I can add it AGAIN if I want or add a different one. (1) I noticed this drag and drop is one-way and any changes in the calendar are not reflected back onto the original task. Fine, you can fix that later, but (2) when I drag the task onto the calendar, why can't the category at least go with it? (3) I noticed the notes and steps don't translate either, but please, the category could be so useful.56Views1like0CommentsOptions below "add a task" should include My Day & Star
Below the dialog box where you add a task, there are 3 options, to add reminders, due dates, and recurrence. This is great. But if you could ALSO have star and MyDay there so each task you add gets those as well. This is in the web version of ToDo, though I think it is the same in the online Outlook version and the desktop app version, all of which I use. T41Views0likes0CommentsCompleted Items Reappearing
I've been extremely frustrated with To-Do since I was forced to use it for my personal list over Planner, but now it's completely unusable. Now any changes I made are going right back whenever I refresh the page or leave and come back. Completed items are undone, changed due dates are reset. Even new tasks I add are gone. You can see a video here: https://share.vidyard.com/watch/sNdBqnkcD2zb7BiwRoGqyt62Views0likes0CommentsSynchronization issue
I have an active Microsoft 365 subscription. My wife and I share Microsoft To Do lists. We recently noticed a synchronization issue: When she creates/deletes/updates tasks, they sync to me. When I create/update tasks, they don’t sync to her. When I delete tasks, they are deleted for her. We’ve already signed out and back in, and tested on different devices and platforms. Permissions are correct, and everything used to work before.673Views4likes8CommentsMisteriously disappears...
I use Microsoft's To Do app. Since the switch to Windows 11, certain entries mysteriously disappear while editing. They are no longer present, not even among the completed entries. And they are also not findable via search. Are there any solutions to this?42Views1like0CommentsLogging in on web see but blank page
I'm logging into my microsoft TO DO account on my desktop though Chrome, incognito, edge, ... and every time I see that the page loads but it keeps blank (complete white). So no "list not loaded" , frames visible, ... just a blank screen. Has anybody else encountered this. I've had this issue for several weeks and even after clearing cache, ... it's still not fixed. The lists are still there if I check it through the app on my iphone. But I'm not really using this. Does anybody has an idee how to fix this?73Views0likes1CommentGraph API 1.0 - Listing lists doesn't return all lists (todoTaskList)
Hi, first time posting here, please let me know if I should be doing something differently! I've searched throughout the internet and couldn't find a reason for this. I've got a couple of users running into a problem where the https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/todo-list-lists?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http endpoint only returns one list (Flagged Emails), though these users have and see many other lists in the To Do desktop (macOS) app. I've confirmed in both cases it's the same user that's identified in my app/integration and in the desktop app. They can see the tasks in that list without a problem. There are no errors requesting that list, and asking via `/users/{id|userPrincipalName}/todo/lists` also returns the same response (with that one list). Is there any known situation where this could be happening? Am I missing something obvious? Is there something else I should be trying? I've got many other customers using the To Do integration without a problem. I'm aware "My Day" and a few other special lists aren't returned. Thank you so much!413Views0likes6Comments
