Microsoft To Do shared list – notifications arrive but the list on my account doesn’t update
Hi, Since Sept 7, 2025, I’ve had a problem with a shared list in Microsoft To Do. There are two users on the list. When the other user adds or completes a task, I get a notification but in my account the list itself does not update: the task still looks unchanged. This happens in all clients I use: web app on Windows PC and Android app (Galaxy A13 5G). If I add or complete tasks, everything syncs normally and the other user sees the updates. The other user does not have this problem. We tried reinstalling apps, rebooting devices, and even creating a new shared list, but the issue remains. Since the same behavior happens on every device with my account, it seems like a server-side sync problem rather than a device issue. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a known issue and are there any suggested workarounds? Thanks!

Dragging Task onto Outlook Calendar in Web does keep Category (color) (or notes or steps)
So categories could be useful. They have been added now to both the online ToDo app and Outlook Web Calendar. A great feature is in Outlook Calendar (web), you can choose from the top right the a ToDo list side menu and drag a task onto the calendar to make a quick 1/2 hour block and move it around. And you could color code this with categories. HOWEVER, they are not connected. If I choose a category (e.g. Purple) in ToDo and then drag onto the calendar the event does not have a category. I can add it AGAIN if I want or add a different one. (1) I noticed this drag and drop is one-way and any changes in the calendar are not reflected back onto the original task. Fine, you can fix that later, but (2) when I drag the task onto the calendar, why can't the category at least go with it? (3) I noticed the notes and steps don't translate either, but please, the category could be so useful.Options below "add a task" should include My Day & Star
Below the dialog box where you add a task, there are 3 options, to add reminders, due dates, and recurrence. This is great. But if you could ALSO have star and MyDay there so each task you add gets those as well. This is in the web version of ToDo, though I think it is the same in the online Outlook version and the desktop app version, all of which I use. T
Completed Items Reappearing
I've been extremely frustrated with To-Do since I was forced to use it for my personal list over Planner, but now it's completely unusable. Now any changes I made are going right back whenever I refresh the page or leave and come back. Completed items are undone, changed due dates are reset. Even new tasks I add are gone. I have an active Microsoft 365 subscription. My wife and I share Microsoft To Do lists. We recently noticed a synchronization issue: When she creates/deletes/updates tasks, they sync to me. When I create/update tasks, they don’t sync to her. When I delete tasks, they are deleted for her. We’ve already signed out and back in, and tested on different devices and platforms. Permissions are correct, and everything used to work before.
Logging in on web see but blank page
I'm logging into my microsoft TO DO account on my desktop though Chrome, incognito, edge, ... and every time I see that the page loads but it keeps blank (complete white). So no "list not loaded" , frames visible, ... just a blank screen. Has anybody else encountered this. I've had this issue for several weeks and even after clearing cache, ... it's still not fixed. The lists are still there if I check it through the app on my iphone. But I'm not really using this. Does anybody has an idee how to fix this?
Graph API 1.0 - Listing lists doesn't return all lists (todoTaskList)
Hi, first time posting here, please let me know if I should be doing something differently! I've searched throughout the internet and couldn't find a reason for this. I've got a couple of users running into a problem where the https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/todo-list-lists?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http endpoint only returns one list (Flagged Emails), though these users have and see many other lists in the To Do desktop (macOS) app. I've confirmed in both cases it's the same user that's identified in my app/integration and in the desktop app. They can see the tasks in that list without a problem. There are no errors requesting that list, and asking via `/users/{id|userPrincipalName}/todo/lists` also returns the same response (with that one list). Is there any known situation where this could be happening? Am I missing something obvious? Is there something else I should be trying? I've got many other customers using the To Do integration without a problem. I'm aware "My Day" and a few other special lists aren't returned. Thank you so much!
Can't log into Microsoft to do
It has been like this for a long time and I tried the solutions that seems to work for everyone: Uninstall the To Do Mac app Open Finder and press CMD+Shift+G Enter “~/Library/Group Containers” and delete “http://ubf8t346g9.com.microsoft.to/-do-mac” folder Press CMD+Shift+G Enter “~/Library/Containers” and delete “Microsoft To Do” folder Restart your device, download the app from the App Store and check. But it was still like this after I reinstalled it... I cannot open the setting nor the account :((( Help!!!To Do keeps asking to sign back in to keep using it
I have a problem on my Android device (Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra) with To Do app (version 2.143.935.02). It started constantly sending me push notifications "Sign back in to myaccount to keep using To Do". When I tap on it, it stays on the circling thing that indicates that something is loading and then throws me to the default screen and on and on it goes. I already tried to clear the cache, delete the app data, uninstall and reinstall it, but nothing works. I even tried and logged in through the web version of To Do and it doesn't show my lists and tasks as well. It is also stuck on loading tasks state. Does anyone have the same issue? Has anyone solved it? I sent the logs to the developers, but I don't whether anyone is trying to solve this.

After logging in, it goes into an endless loading loop and keeps asking me to log in repeatedly. I tried logging out and back in, but the issue persists. I then checked the PC version of the app, and strangely, none of my To Do lists were visible. When I accessed the web version, it just says “Preparing your lists...” but nothing ever loads. Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution? For context, I did recently make some changes to my account’s security settings—wondering if that might be related. Entire Task List Lost
Last week, I had been working most of the day, when my entire task list was suddenly lost. There is nothing. No completed tasks, no in progress, none of the recurring ones. Everything is gone, and this is going to really disrupt my work for... who knows how long. Is there any way to get them back?Phantom notifications for a deleted task.
I had a recurring task (once weekly) that I deleted. I deleted the whole thing, the task doesn't exist anymore and doesn't re-occur. However, I still get the MacOS push notifications every week telling me I have that task due. If I click the alert it opes ToDo but doesn't go to the task (it can't, since it doesn't exist!). If I mark it as complete from the notification then next week the push notification arrives again. Somewhere in the backend the notification push didn't get deleted when the task was deleted and now I can't get rid of this notification! It's not device specific, the alert is pushed to any device I'm signed into with ToDo. Does anyone have a suggestions as this really irks me.
Feature request: notification to task using copilot for smart title
Everything is in the title What would be super efficient would be being able to transform any notification or text to task with Copilot transforming the full text to a smart task title, and keeping the text in the description of the task
To Do SUCKS
I don't know who--or what team--designed To Do, but it is absolutely horrendous and is no replacement for Outlook Tasks, which gave you a FULL SCREEN to make notes, and it was easy to do (not pun intended) anything, but To Do opens a tiny window in the middle of the screen that CANNOT be resized, so you have a tiny, tiny pane on the right-hand side of this tiny screen to scroll up and down reading notes. It's beyond horrible. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can someone at Microsoft go back to the drawing boards and make an app that fills the whole screen, can be resized, and is easy to use?!
