Add shared mailbox contacts to the new outlook for windows
In my organization, we use a shared mailbox to share a public address book. Is there a way to add it to the new Outlook for Windows? I can see the shared mailbox correctly under ‘Mail -> Shared with Me’, but there’s nothing about shared mailboxes in the ‘People’ tab. I have also tried to manually add the shared mailbox as a standalone account, but it just loads indefinitely after I type in the address Outlook client version: 20231006004.16 Windows 11, build 22621.2428Can a shared mailbox be migrated into a Microsoft 365 Group?
We current have an actively used Shared Mailbox (call it mailto:service@company.com). However, we now want to create a full Microsoft 365 Group called Service, and have that email address associated with it, along with the other functions of a Group (Teams, SharePoint, etc.) How would I go about doing this? If I create the Group and name it 'Service' will M365 automatically use that Shared Mailbox and turn it into the Group mailbox?
How can I disable calendar reminders for invitations by shared mailboxes
Hi! We use a shared mailbox for a calendar for events. Events are projects that are lead by several project managers. Some of them want to invite themselves to the events so they also see it in their own calendar. This automatically creates a reminder for that event in the personal calendar of the user. Even though if the have all auto reminders set to none. Is there any way to disable this?
Can I lock down a Shared Mailbox with restrictive permissions?
I have a Shared Mailbox defined in Office 365, but I want to restrict it so that some of the members of the mailbox have read/write permissions, while others can only have read-only permissions. Is it possible to configure a shared mailbox with restrictive permissions?
