b26063 - QUESTION - Is it expected that Defender / Security Center is not included in the systray?

MVP

Dear Community, Windows Server team,

I've noticed that unlike on Windows Client on Windows Server the systray doesn't contain a quick access to Defender / Windows Security Center. Is this intended?

Hi Karl,

Eleanor here from the Windows Server Team. Thanks for your feedback on this! I double checked with the security team and this behavior is expected and intended for Windows Server.

It can be overridden if desired. WindowsDefenderSecurityCenter Policy CSP - Windows Client Management | Microsoft Learn, HideWindowsSecurityNotificationAreaControl.

Thanks!

Thank you for the clarification and guidance!
