Windows 11 crashes during update to latest dev build

Windows crashes after it shuts down during the update to the latest dev build 22478.1000 (rs_prerelease) and then reverts the update. Tried several times and it happens all the time, and no dump file is created. I also cannot leave the insider program, the option is greyed out. Thanks for any help.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900101: Windows 11 Insider Preview 22478.1000 (rs_prerelease).

Current OS version: 

Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview, Version Dev
OS build 22471.1000

Hardware specs:

Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70 GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master
Installed RAM 64.0 GB
GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090

I just tried now, with the new build 2222478.1012, and it failed again! Downloading again for the second time.

@OldloratH try and run these commands in an elevated command prompt by typing CMD in the search box on your taskbar then right clicking on command prompt and selecting "run as admin":

1.Run chkdsk/f C: and press the Enter (it will say the drive is in use do you want to run this on the next reboot select yes or Y)

2. Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press the Enter

3. Run sfc /scannow

reboot the computer then try to run the update again

Same -- error 0xC1900101

I tried everything.

Did a windows update troubleshooter

Restart

Did chkdsk/f C:

Restart
Did DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Did sfc /scannow

win 11 pro 2222478.1012
Keeps giving the same green screen error and restarts.

The only thing i can suggest is to submit a bug report in the feedback hub and hopefully they release a fix asap to fix this

I have this problem too for Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.22478.1012

I use windows 11 Home and this specs:
Intel i5-10300H
Windows 11 Home 22471.1000 (at the moment)
GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
16 Gb
500 GB SSD

My notebook is Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H
I tryed to update a lot of times and all failed. In update list I see "Failed to install on 16-Oct-21 - 0xc1900101"

same problem here, ryzen 2700x msi gaming pro carbon b450  r9 280x

tried several times with 2478.1000 then the new one, everytime same result, error screen.

The update 22478.1012 finally went trough. I don´t know if microsoft did an update. But yeah. Thanks everybody for your help.

Hello! I have the same issue, Dec 3rd 2021, update crashes during restart and it undoes changes. Any ideea on how to solv this? I tried it 3 times already.
I have a Ryzen 5 3550h
