SCCM Server fails Windows 11 24H2 upgrade package download
SCCM Server 2403 fails Windows 11 24H2 upgrade package download (both 2024-09B and 2024-10B). Running MP, DP, Site and WSUS database, several other roles on the same Windows Server 2022 VM. Hi everyone! we have just started deploying printers to intune clients using universal print. It works mostly fine, but after adding around 10 printers via policy, we see multiple upprinterinstaller.exe windows popping for a few minutes up each time the client synchronizes policy. Has anyone else experienced this, or found a solution to this? RuslanSolved11KViews0likes16CommentsRe: ATP Sensor failed upgrade to 2.198.16173.18440 on Win2012

Hi all, I have a customer running multiple AD Domain Controllers on windows server 2012, 2016 and 2019. ATP sensor version 2.197.16100.44617 was working fine, but a few days ago it started automatic upgrade to 2.198.16173.18440, the new sensor service "Azure Advanced Threat Protection Sensor" cannot start. Application event log also shows a variety of error messages from soure 'Perflib'. This is new, as the 2012 domain controllers were working fine and had no errors in Application log prior to ATP Sensor upgrade. Has anybody experienced the same issue? PS1: the new ATP sensor version on windows 2016 and 2019 domain controllers works fine. PS2: windows 2012 servers running january and february patches. -RuslanSolvedRe: Azure AD Connect swing migration when using ADFS
Michael85 Hi, I just chose a random domain from the list and continued onward with the wizard. I selected 'staged mode' to begin with, it did not do any harm to the config, the old azure ad connect server was still working fine. I have since finished the swing migration and using supported version fine now. It's difficult for me to say what might be your issue, but maybe the wizard cannot contact the adfs farm to pick up adfs config with federated domain? that would be my first guess. -Ruslan2.1KViews0likes0CommentsAzure AD Connect swing migration when using ADFS
Hi, one of my customers runs an old version of Azure AD Connect with ADFS. I were planing to build a new AADC server and set it to staging mode to do a "swing" migration . But when configuring new AADC, I am presented with a list of UPN suffixes used in the domain and I have to choose which one to federate with Azure AD. I was not expecting this, as all the UPN suffixes in the list are already federated by using the old AADC server. Is it safe to just let the wizard federate again, or will this break federation activated on the old server? Or is the process for swing migration when using ADFS different than when not using ADFS? Switching away from ADFS to other authentication is not relevant yet. Thanks, RuslanRe: Office 365 Shared Computer Activation Prompts for user to sign in when SSO is enabled
computer has to be aad joined or hybrid aad joined for sso to work. also, logging on to windows does not require second factor, so starting ms365app would require a first sign in with mfa. to avoid authentication prompt, you could consider conditional access to not require mfa on compliant device (or IP, or other condition), but that would be added security risk ofc.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to migrate Azure AD synced user from synced onpremis user account to another
you are assuming they are using onprem ObjectGuid as source anchor. which is not necessarily the case, they might be using ms-ds-consistencyguid instead (or even something else). I would instead go for soft matching, that is clear immutableid on azuread account and activate sync for the new onprem account afterwards. this might be safer as it is source anchor agnostic.5.9KViews0likes0CommentsMicrosoft 365 Apps - 32bit vs 64bit
Hello Microsoft 365 App professionals. I would like to know what the community thinks about using 32bit vs 64bit apps. Is anyone doing a migration to 64bit apps? Is there any chance that Microsoft will stop supporting 32bit versions within a few years? They changed the default version in Office 365 portal to 64bit a while ago (end of year 2018), and now newest windows 10 (version 2004) is only available in 64bit, so maybe Microsoft has some plans for that.. What do you think? Regards, Ruslan
