"Generic Search" Web part

Options that appear when you are editing a pageThe search optionsA new "Generic Search" web part is available in the modern page. But it takes "Template" as parameter. But once added there is no value for it and greyed out. After publishing the page, it just displays the message "Please select template..."

Is this "Generic Search" web part supposed to work in association with any other web parts in the page like "List"

Also on the top right navigation "Search Box" appears and this search completely works differently than the default "Search Box" appears in the top left navigation. The right one shows search result with documents like cards and also has "open in new tab" link. Where as the other one popups a card like with "Open POST Share..." etc.  couldn't find sufficient documentation around it.

I don't have a modern Search WebPart...can you add some screenshots?

My Tenant is on first release and I don't see it either.

Well, as I said, I don't have the WebPart so not sure how to configure it
