Hello ,
I have Hosted a WCF service in IIS and I am using SharePoint designer 2013 to connect to BCS of SharePoint online.
I am able to create the external content type and external content list but when I access the external list I am getting the below error
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
I have given all the required permission in SQL server to make it accessible and have checked it its accessible
I have hosted the same WCF service which is hosted in IIS in Azure App Service and its working fine and the data is getting pulled and being displayed in External list
