Google Contact Data in New Outlook

Brass Contributor

With Outlook 1.2023.504.300 / Client 1.2023.504.300, only the contact name and the phone number OR email address syncs with my Google contacts in my Gmail account - none of the other data is displayed in Outlook. Is this a known issue?

In addition, when I click the Edit button in contacts, a "Something went wrong" error dialog is displayed.

Thanks!

Hmm, that's a bit odd. The first thing I'd recommend is checking that you've got the most recent updates for Outlook - they're always adding fixes and new features.

As for your contacts not fully syncing, it could be some kind of compatibility issue between Google and Outlook. You could try exporting your Google contacts as a .csv or .vcf file and then importing them into Outlook to see if that gets all the data across.

@lanaCharge Thanks  for your reply. I just discovered that the Google contact sync problem is a known issue - Microsoft says it's working on it.
