Guest speaker: Zaid Zaim
About: Zaid came to Germany eight years ago due to the war in his country. In 2017 he joined redi-school.org an NGO that supports refugees getting quality technical skills to join German industry. In 2019 he started a Mixed Reality project for cultural heritage preservation that includes a virtual reconstruction of the destroyed ancient Palmyra UNESCO site in Syria. The project aims to raise historical awareness, promote peaceful coexistence, and motivate future construction.
