Move an 'Assigned to you' task to a List

Hi all - we're looking at using Planner as our main hub for our PMs and Agile/Scrum stand-up and workflow manager but, having the devs use To Do for their main hub to manage their day-to-day, time tracking(by way of a third-party app).  It's looking promising but, there appear to be some hurdles we still need to get over - specific to this post is that it does not appear that our devs can move/add a task that has been assigned to them from within Planner to one of their lists.  Am I missing something or, if not, has anyone out there figured out some 'trickery' that would allow this?
