Using comments in office documents in teams

Copper Contributor

hi all, opening an Office file within Teams we all like to use the comments section and tag other collaborators in using the @ tag to notify users. however when the document is open in Teams i only have the ability to comment and not to @ someone. if i open the document within a browser or actually in the native application, Word or Excel then the @ option appears so i can tag users. make sense?

Hi!

Current uservoice open for this

https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/39755461-enable-mentions-on-do...

Would vote on it in order to push it up the agenda. I would like to see this too so have voted myself

Hope that answers your question!

Best, Chris
