Re: Scheduling Meetings in Private Channels
Hi Thomas_HZ Ashwin4rmUBS and all others who commented. Just getting back to Tech Community after a long period odd so thanks for bearing with me. The request hasn't moved along any further on feedback portal. It is still here and is currently in a state of review: Microsoft have responded to it: Support channel meetings in Private Channels Β· Community (microsoft.com) In terms of a workaround 1.) As stated previously, you can simply go into the private channel, start a meet now, copy the link to the meeting and then put that link into a recurring cal entry in Outlook :D. 2.) You can also schedule channel meetings in Shared Channels, which also have the privacy of Private Channels but have the functionality you need. With the shared channel you have the ability to only share it with people as opposed to teams, or orgs outside of you own. I 100% get that a downside of this is that you may not want others to have the opportunity to have to share it with anything other than individuals. If I am honest I don't think that the native solution of being able to pick private channels when scheduling a meet will be - given the amount of time passed already - anytime soon. However, I'll put it in front of engineering so that they have eyes on it again. Caveat is that they may still do nothing given current commitments. Hi nielsbillen PeterJ_Inobits Hope you are well. Just getting back to tech community after a long period off, so thanks for bearing with me as I clean out my mailbox π Yeah, RSS would have been an option at one point, but connectors are kind on their way to being sunsetted as Microsoft looks to use Power Automate more, which in Teams world is starting to be renamed from a UI persepctive as workflows. Using Power Automate is recommended both from the requirements outlined above and also because it is the authorative solution in Microsoft's kitbag. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again for your question and keep them coming in Best, Chris3.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Can't switch between tenants. The option to switch to other tenants in the top right isn't displayed
Raidennnn Thanks for confirming. May also be worth in future checking the web version to see if it does it quicker. Also flushing the cache on the desktop client to see if that speeds it up. I don't know whether it has any impact in your case, but usually when it comes to being added as a guest, web displays much quicker. Great to see bro ChrisWebbTech getting back into TC after a long time out. We had a long break from it but are slowly making our way back. He's got some big solutions out of Texas. Morning all Just getting back onto the tech community after a long time. This has been an issue for a long time, and can be shown when it was opened here in the Tech Community. It was raised on UserVoice 100%, but then if I remember I don't think it was migrated to Feedback Portal when Microsoft moved the uservoices over. It has been raised anew several times per these ones Do not duplicate channel name in folder name when syncing files to desktop Β· Community (microsoft.com) Reducing Duplicate sharepoint names for restricted folders - Windows File Explorer Β· Community (microsoft.com) And the ones provided above Microsoft ideally needs to consolidate all the feedback items into a single one, and then as many people raise on it as possible to get it in front of engineering. Now there is the possible workaround as someone suggested above - but ideally the real solution is to fix it natively and not have to make manual changes locally which could cause issues, difficult to manage programatically and adds overhead when there are issues. I'll bring it to the attention of the engineering team: doesn't mean anything may happen, but hopefully they can start amalgamating these so it shows more people want to see this change. Thanks so much for pushing this native design change forward Best, Chris2.4KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Teams Calendar - please show my categories/colors from Outlook Exchange
Hi Marty_Joplin See here Schedule a meeting in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support Section on categorising meetings. As noted in the article: At this time, category names and colors can only be edited from Outlook. For recurring meetings, categories can only be applied to the series, not an individual occurrence. Currently, categories can't be applied to channel meetings Hope that helps answer your question. It is client side, and not something which is enabled in the Microsoft Teams admin centre Best, Chris14KViews0likes0CommentsRe: When does Microsoft remove the Wiki-Tab in teams exactly?
Philipp971 Per the latest announcement in the Message Centre on June 7th When & how are we retiring Wiki? Stage 1 β (Timeline β early March 2023) Users won't be able to create new wikis, but they can continue to access (read/write) their existing wiki. Users also have the option to export their content to OneNote. Once users export their content to OneNote, the Wiki is available as read only. After exporting, each wiki in a channel appears as separate section in OneNote and each Wiki page will be a separate page in OneNote. Stage 2 β (Timeline β Mid CY23) Wiki tab in channel will not be supported; users will be easily able access (read/write) content in Wiki app. Users can also export their content to OneNote. Stage 3 β (Timeline β Jan 2024) Wikis tab and wiki App wouldn't be able to accessible in Teams and users wouldn't be able to export. Users can download their wiki files from SharePoint. You can also track the conversation here which was last updated end of June. Karuana Gatimu is high up in the Teams team, so would be authotitative for a date. Hi Mondas Unfortunately, looks like Microsoft didn't carry the Uservoice forward to the new feedback site. However, I have looked through and found new asks here: Allow caller ID Policy to forwarded calls Β· Community (microsoft.com) HIDE CALL FORWARDING NUMBER Β· Community (microsoft.com) Would recommend you vote up on them to help push them up the agenda, and also get others to do the same. I believe that there should be the ability to mask forwarded calls on a service number so have voted up personally on both of there Hope that helps Best, Chris1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Any way for IT Admins to take ownership of all Forms created in an organization?
osv-mikem Matthew Carter Hi both, apologies for a delayed response, only starting to get back to the community. These were previously on UserVoice, but Microsoft moved them over to the Feedback Portal, here you can vote up on them Global Admin or Forms admin to manage all forms Β· Community (microsoft.com) The ability to manage Forms across the tenant through an Admin Center similar to SharePoint Β· Community (microsoft.com) aProvide an option to acess all forms created by Admins Β· Community (microsoft.com) These have all been open for some time and there is a groundswell on it given the time it has taken to get reviewed. I have personally voted up on all 3, so I would upvote and keep an eye on them to see if they get picked up. Hope that helps, Best, Chris7.9KViews3likes0CommentsRe: Forms Limit
Karen_Evans Would look to open a ticket with Microsoft as per this documentation: Form, question, response, and character limits in Microsoft Forms - Microsoft Support If you belong to a team, you and the people on your team can create up to 400 forms, which will show up in the Group forms tab of your forms.office.com portal page. The 400 forms you and your team can create are in addition to the 400 single forms you can create as an individual. I would query that: either the document is wrong, your tenant needs to be updated, or there is some reason which is stopping it being this stated number Best, Chris3KViews1like0CommentsAdd Microsoft Forms to Service Health Dashboard - Vote Now!

PhilGdn Thanks for reaching out. This is not currently possible as switching themes switches the whole of the app, and parts of that cannot be modified or switched back to the colour of another theme. However, you could open a feedback here for the team to consider. There may even be one open already which you can vote up on Microsoft Teams Β· Community Hope that answers your question. Have a great day. Best, Chris2.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Teams bypassing EXO Address Book Policy Address Segmentation

They should be available via all versions. I would raise with your IT administrator and get them to check. Typically, Microsoft 365 for education is similar to the version for business, especially in terms of moving files around. I may be wrong - given that I typically work with the business version, however I cannot - and would not - ask to see screenshots or assist you on a remote call. Provide the links above to your IT admin (which helps you to export and share) and have them assist you with checking the version. Check this article too if there doesn't appear to be an export option as it will run through some methods: https://www.technipages.com/fix-theres-no-export-option-in-onenote#:~:text=Exporting%20your%20OneNote%20notebooks%20is%20as%20easy%20as,data%2C%20especially%20if%20you%20jotted%20down%20important%20ideas. Hi Ben Grinsted Updated 06/08/2022. No ways currently to speed dial straight off the app bar. Recommend to raise it on uservoice Microsoft Teams Β· Community There are similar feedbacks to optimise speed dial but not dial straight off the app bar. But I would understand why you need this. I would raise it. Hope that answers your question Best, Chris3.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Teams Video call continues with screen Locked
Hi Aaron Smith Updated 06/08/2022 Latest feedback link Turn off video when the workstation is locked Β· Community (microsoft.com) Would recommend voting up on it. I have voted on it and the old one on uservoice before that was retired. It's really kind of essential moving forward - and it's kind of criminal after 3 or so years. Until that time users will need to be vigilant and always ensure video and audio are off before locking the machine if they need to move away from it Hope that answers your question Best, Chris35KViews0likes2Comments
