Status icons

Copper Contributor

Hi All

I sync my teams files to my laptop.

I notice there are two different icons in green.

One icon is open with a check mark in it in green. The other one is full colour in green with a blank check mark in it,

What is the difference between these statusses?

I read the help, but for me it is totally unclear.

you can use storage sense settings on your device https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-onedrive-and-storage-sense-in-windows-10-to-manage-di.... idea being that if something has a local (open icon) copy on your device and it hasn't been used in, say, 30 days, it will go back to online only. If the icon is solid for 'always keep on this device' then storage sense should ignore it and not bounce it back to online only. hope that helps!
Great answer, now understand the difference and the why behind it
Thanks a lot !
