Microsoft’s FY17 Q2 results posted on January 26 boasted a 49% year-over-year growth in commercial Office 365 revenues, contributing to an annualized run rate for commercial cloud products that now “exceeds” $14 billion. The number of cloud users has grown again, underlying the continuing move of work to the Office 365 and Azure.

While the percentage might not seem as impressive as the triple digit ones we had for several subsequent quarters, the actual increase in terms of $$$ is very respectable. If they manage to keep this up a while longer, the 20bn mark will be surpassed ahead of schedule.

Yeah, I wouldn't bet against Microsoft making the $20 billion mark by mid-2018...
