Office 365 Calendar adding 12 hours to calendar in Outlook 2016

Iron Contributor

Strange error reported by a member of staff.

They are adding a Calendar event in Office 365, and selecting a time. However, Calendar in Outlook 2016 is adding 12 hours the entry! Their clock and timezone are correct.

Any suggestions why this might be happening?

Have you check the region and time zone settings on Outlook Web App? sorry the screenshot shows the page in spanish, but you'll get the point.

As Jesus mentioned, here are some steps:

Viewing the Calendar logged into Office365.com in the browser, click the Settings cog (next to the ? and user photo)

Click the Office 365 link under Your app settings

Click the Language and Timezone section.

Thanks. That was the reason.

The strange thing is that the global setting in Office 365 has set the timezone to UK. Why would this be different in an individiual's setting?

Of course, imagine you work for a multinational and people are located at different time zones!!! Glad to hear you could solved it!!!
That makes sense, but there must be a way of setting it so that all users have the same default timezone as the general admin settings of Office 365 (which we have set to UK time).

It is a very difficult process to get 200 staff, and 150 students to change their timezone settings!
