Too many portal for system admin to manage DLP

Copper Contributor

I have just been working with a Microsoft Engineer and now again have been introduced to another Microsoft Portal - (Cloud App Security ).  I am see that in this portal it has duplication from some of the other Security and Compliance portal. It is now becoming very difficult to mange all the different portal for all the different layers that are now offered.  Could Microsoft find a way to place all of the different portal under a common security / Compliance portal.  This way it would be easier to find and mange alll the different elelements from one location.

@Ken_Encore_1024 Yes, it is frustrating. But, fear not, Microsoft is planning on combining everything and will probably put everything under https://security.microsoft.com . (at least that is my guess) I remember when everything was protection.office.com then split to security.office.com and compliance.office.com...

It happens and it will probably continue, but just know Microsoft has a plan and eventually, it will all settle (at least for a few months)

Indeed, finding the good portal could be quite complex. And it changed recently... a lot.

The trend I see is to use:
- Compliance Center (https://compliance.microsoft.com/datalossprevention) to monitor and protect sharing through the different applications
- MCAS (or a third party tool) to review the status of your files (sharing, owner, user, exposition, etc.) within SharePoint and OneDrive. As it based on the API, the governance actions will not be immediate
