Network Shared Print Error 0x0000011b

A few of our users reported that one of their network print queues stop working. I had them attempt to add another queue and they get print error 0x0000011b. I've tried the recommended workaround by setting RPCAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled to 0 on one of the print servers and a test client. Still same problem. The noted patch that is supposed to be applied to Server 2016 I can't find installed either.

 

- On at least two existing clients the problem occurs

- On two newly installed clients running 2004 the error occurs

- On a client updated from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 the problem did not occur.

 

Anyone experience the same problem where the posted workarounds did not work?

Upgrade to latest cumulative update  / Service update.
