Q&A option in Teams Channels

Thanks in advance for any assistance in this area.

As we continue to try to drive adoption of Teams in our org one of the questions that has come up is if there is a good way to replace some normal email workflows.

 

For example a user might send an email to a distribution list.  Do we have a product that can do ABC?  That email would then be answered by a team member.  The vast majority of us have these emails in conversation view so it is very easy to see what has/hasn't been handled as of yet.

 

We are struggling to replace this functionality in channels.  Is there a way to leverage a Q&A mode like you might see in a webinar where we could mark something as answered?  Looking for some mechanism other than "read" to know something has been handled.  In email form read is perfectly acceptable because you can set it so that it won't be marked as read unless you actually open it.  In channels that isn't the case.
