Added features:
- Introduced Basic networking-related features added to browser.
- To prevent repeated launch of pre FRE session, an additional check for pre FRE has been added and the code has been refactored.
Improved reliability:
- An issue that causes FRE to crash after switching accounts has been fixed.
- Fixed a browser crash in edge image viewer.
- Fixed a browser crash in sidebar.
- Resolved an issue of sites crashing after activating the new dark mode.
- Fixed a browser crash in PDF.
- Fixed a bug that caused a crash during sync issues on android and iOS systems.
Changed behavior:
- Fixed an issue when clicked on browser essentials, Black border appears for 'Sites scanned' and 'Downloads scanned.'
- Fixed an issue where when a network change is detected, device movement does not trigger a location refresh.
- An issue where group name addition and learn more accessible name update were not working has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue where ‘Always show sidebar’ option has been relocated to the ‘Customize sidebar’ section in the settings page.
- After signing into the browser, the ‘Get your favorites’ text is now clearly visible in dark mode”.
- Resolved an issue where the Google Docs string was not updated to ‘We have readily installed this extension to help optimize your Google Docs experience when offline.’
- Resolved an issue where a white flash would appear on the browser essential surface background when browser essential started in Dark mode.
- Resolved a bug that affected the code logic for the new tab page and the startup page.
- Resolved a bug that allowed dark mode to function properly on the Bing page.
- Fixed a bug that caused either an extra “&” character or no text to show up when hovering over the button in the favorite's hub.
- Fixed the problem of missing accessibility name for the “X” button.
- Fixed the issue of sign in page appearing after the Privacy page.
- Fixed the issue of favorites hub displaying “No results found” when searching.
- Solved a problem that showed scroll bars in white in dark mode.
- Fixed a problem of “Your connection isn’t private” error showing up when visiting any site.
- Fixed a problem of New Device FRE being skipped, and browser being frozen after opening browser.
- Resolved the problem of feedback not being sent to AAD account.
- Fixed a loading issue of browser for welcome page in canary.
- Fixed an issue with Browser Essentials Unexpected line is visible under recommended actions.
- Resolved a problem of Invisible selection box in high contrast mode.
- Resolved a problem where the scroll bars appear white in dark mode on all desktop pages.
- Resolved a problem where the ‘Thanks for sharing feedback’ page did not show up after clicking the send button.
- Resolved a problem where the Narrator did not report the file upload status after uploading the file in the “Attach a file” window.
- An issue where dark mode was not working on Bing page has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue of “Opening ‘Terms of Use’ causes the bottom bar to change to white.”
- The issue of the third-party cookies toggle button rendering in red color has been resolved.
- WebView2: An issue where blank app window is launched for the “Webview2 windows forms browser” app has been resolved.
- iOS:
- Resolved a problem where a gap appeared between the PDF and the address bar after scrolling down the online PDF after it loaded.
- The PDF viewer had an issue where the content of the online PDF file shifted suddenly when scrolling down problem has been resolved.
- Fixed an issue that caused the page to rotate when changing the screen orientation for PDF viewer.
