Agent Upgrade Failed - Windows 11 multi-session 22H2

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I'm experiencing agent upgrade failures on my Windows 11 22H2 multi-session virtual machines. These machines have group policy hardening and WDAC applied. When I deploy to an empty organisation unit with no group policies applied, the agents upgrade successfully. Any one had this issue before?

The following errors are shown in the Windows > Application > WVD-Agent (Error 3277)

The following errors are shown in the Windows > Application > MSIInstaller (Error 11406)

What is the hardening applied? Is agent upgrade never success in past?

Hardening Microsoft Windows 10 version 21H1 Workstations - https://www.cyber.gov.au/resources-business-and-government/maintaining-devices-and-systems/system-ha... and Hardening Microsoft 365, Office 2021, Office 2019 and Office 2016 - https://www.cyber.gov.au/resources-business-and-government/maintaining-devices-and-systems/system-ha...

At the moment I'm testing redeploying a session host with each GPO linked one at a time to try narrow down which GPO is causing the behaviour. The agent upgrade is only every successful without any policies applied.
