Autonumber - Reset

hello experts,

 

Is there an easier way to edit an autonumber field than by the below?  It seems quite laborious and wondering if there is a simpler approach to it.  thank you.

First we need to establish why you need this. It is exceedingly rare with good database design that you would care what the values would be. This is a FAQ and you should have no problem locating online articles discussing this.
Hi Tom, I started to dig a little deeper and I didnt need to change the autonumber field. I had a fk and that is the one I needed to change and I just finished manually changing up the records and it works now. thank you for the response.
