(Re)Connecting files in sharepoint/onedrive to a channel?
Hi, hoping someone can help as I'm past my wits' end with Teams. I need to change the name of a channel (and the file folder that is connected to that). I don't want a new channel - I want to keep the posts tied to this channel. I didn't know it, but this breaks the link between the channel and Files.
I really don't understand how this is even a thing. Why make it limiting, inflexible, complicated, and frustrating?
How do I fix this?
Hi mfrankosky - unfortunately, that is known behavior. If you change the name of the folder on SharePoint, even if it matches the new Channel name, the link is broken. Tony Redmond posted a good blog on that here: https://www.petri.com/renaming-teams-can-be-messy

Am I right in understanding right in that there is no path to reverse the damage I've done?
I'm in shock at how inflexible this systems are.
Hi mfrankosky - try renaming your SharePoint folder back to its original name.
