I cannot remove an old sing account from Teams on Mac OS. I have to delete the keychain, I delete the temp folder, and remove and reinstall Teams, and the old account is still there. I have a case open with the Microsoft team, and they cannot figure it out. Where is the login info store, and why has Microsoft not provided a solution where users can remove accounts as easily as they can add? Please help!27KViews2likes36CommentsProfile Picture not updating
Hi Community, Today I updated my profile picture on teams and picture gets updated as well but I am only able to see the updated picture on hovering over the profile, but unable to see the updated picture on my profile icon. Is this a bug or something? Please fix this @72KViews0likes9CommentsPowerShell Permissions
I'm trying to get some data out of Teams programatically via the MicrosoftTeams PowerShell module but I'm having problems identifying the minimum RBAC permissions required to execute commands. I can't find any documentation on what permissions are required to execute a command with anything less than Global Administrator which I'm very against for obvious reasons. The current one that I haven't found any work around for is the Get-AllM365TeamsApps which from what I can tell is the only way to find out the status of all the applications and their status of blocked or unblocked. Is there something I'm missing here or is this not currently documented? Cheers, Ray16Views0likes0CommentsjoinWebUrl is null when fetching via /chats/
Hi We have a production app for Teams that has broken as a result of a seemingly random api change that we can't find any documentation for in the api change log or anywhere for that matter. This is the endpoint that we are calling https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/chats/${chatId}?$select=onlineMeetingInfo New result: { "@odata.context": "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#chats(onlineMeetingInfo)/$entity", "onlineMeetingInfo": { "calendarEventId": null, "joinWebUrl": null, "organizer": { "id": null, "displayName": null, "userIdentityType": "aadUser" } } } This was working before but now it is not working without any change in our side. Is there any info related to this change? Thanks a lot30Views0likes0CommentsBetter way to view employees' schedules?
Howdy, y'all. I've just been hired into a new office, and as the only member of Gen Z to be employed, I've been summarily appointed to the media committee, which includes thinking through the ways that we communicate with one another effectively. The issue that's driving me up a wall at the moment is our calendar management. We have an Excel sheet saved as a tab within one of our Teams channels that lists every employee's status in the office for every day of the year. This is helpful for a couple of reasons: We work in healthcare and must have one person on-call at all times. There are two on-call shifts per day; one from 8 AM to 8 PM, and one from 8 PM to 8 AM. There must be a minimum number of staff people working during regular weekdays (that is, aside from the on-call staffer, we must also be able to see that there are at least a couple people aside from the on-call person who are in the office during a regular week, so that the office isn't completely empty around Christmas and so on). For this, we usually look at the row for the day of the month and the column for the employee's name, with the intersecting cell being filled in with the time of their shift. In addition to the two on-call shifts per day, one person will be designated as "substitute" for one 24-hour period. If either the AM or PM on-call person call out, the substitute will clock in to replace them. Further, there is a staffer who is designated as the support member for an entire week's time. Should the on-call person have questions or concerns, the support member will be able to answer their call at any time during the week. We typically have it color-coded so we know by taking a glance at the day who is on AM, who is on PM, who is substituting, and who is backup. This is an example: Staff A Staff B Staff C Staff D Staff E Staff F Staff G Friday 8/1 8a-8p 8a-4:30p 8p-8a 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p Saturday 8/2 OFF 8a-8p 8p-8a OFF OFF OFF Sunday 8/3 8p-8a OFF 8a-8p OFF OFF OFF Monday 8/4 OFF 8p-8a OFF 8a-8p 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p Tuesday 8/5 8a-8p OFF OFF 8p-8a 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p Wednesday 8/6 8a-4:30p 8p-8a OFF 8a-8p 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p KEY: AM on-call PM on-call Support Obviously, this way of keeping track of things is archaic and has led to chaos. Is there a better way somewhere in Teams/Outlook/SharePoint calendar, or in some other application that can connect to this workspace? We run basically everything in our department out of Teams65Views1like1CommentWhy does Teams show the <title> but not other meta tags when a page requires authentication?
Hi there, I'm writing a HTML meta tag for displaying more info when pasting the link to the HTML in the chat, which falls under the category of basic meta data (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/messaging-extensions/how-to/link-unfurling?tabs=desktop%2Cjson%2Cadvantages). It looks something like this <meta property="og:description" content="A concise description to appear in Teams preview." /> However, the HTML page is in the corporate server that requires authentication (e.g. corporate login). When I copy the link from Microsoft Edge and paste the link in the chat, I notice that: The link is transformed to the content of `<title>` of the HTML page The description of specified by the meta tag is not showing and I'm wondering why is that? For example, does it rely on my local browser to send a request (which should be able to fetch the meta tag)? or does it use Microsoft server to crawl the webpage (which should not be able to fetch the meta tag)? Is there any documentation or material that explain how Teams handle this issue? As for question 1, I believe it is because when copying a link from Microsoft Edge, it added extra information of the link, so that Teams has the ability to get the title instead of retrieving it from a HTTP request. Otherwise, it should be able to fetch the meta tag as well. Thank you for the help26Views0likes0CommentsInconsistent Behavior with Teams Deep Link Across Access Methods
Hello, I'm working on an application that uses the deep link feature in Microsoft Teams. I've encountered an issue where the deep link doesn't work when manually opened in a new browser tab. However, when I click the same link directly (for example, when a colleague shares it and I click it), it works as expected. I'm attaching a few supporting files, including a log file captured during the failed deep link attempt, to help demonstrate the issue. Deep link not working (opened manually in new tab): https://jam.dev/c/4d84c468-54de-4017-a3a1-a1a0e267b00d Deep link working (clicked directly): https://jam.dev/c/b9b463a5-f177-44fe-8f19-f2cc3c2a5c7d Log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BKkraSXXl_QVuWGcJAYFu9kOlNyrsjCa/view?usp=sharing Has anyone experienced similar behavior or have any ideas about what might be causing this? Hello community, Just a couple of days ago, I started facing this issue in my tenant when trying to add a Power App as a Teams channel tab in Teams. "This app does not exist, or you do not have access to it. Please contact an administrator." I am the global admin so it's not a permission issue. This happens across all teams, channels, users and apps in our tenant. We have seen the same thing happening in other tenants too. These are Power Apps created from the maker portal () and added to Teams. No issues in the past, this started happening all of a sudden. Has anybody else faced the same issue?387Views0likes1Comment
