New Teams - Video freezing
I have no issues using the "old" version of teams. The problem only occurs in the "new" version.
In a meeting all incoming video turns black (including shared screens). my image "floats" in the middle of the screen and is also frozen.
The "mini" window when I minimize the application during a meeting show live/unfrozen incoming video of the speaker.
Version Info:
Frozen screen

I have the issue as well with AMD 6800xt (high powered GPU) + 7800x3d integrated graphics (low powered GPU) + Logitech Brio 4K camera, latest drivers and software for everything. I have done all the usual troubleshooting steps as well as some unusual ones.
Running as admin works for me, but this is not an option for my corporate users.
Everyone, go spam the MS feedback page at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/1a5a196a-095e-ee11-a81c-000d3ae46fcb so maybe they'll address the issue.
- ypearsonCopper ContributorRunning as Admin doesn't solve the issue for me.
- digicowboyCopper ContributorI can confirm the same for me, went through all of the standard cache clearing, etc. Video freezes after a few seconds. All OS / Drivers up to date.
Windows 11 Home
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
32.0 GB RAM
AMD Ryzen 9 3900 12-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 - ypearsonCopper ContributorI have the same issue also. I am using an integrated webcam on my Alienware laptop (integrated webcam with a RTX 3070).
If I open a meeting and make sure that the PiP was never enabled, I can join a meeting. But as soon as someone screenshares or any major video changes occur in the Meeting, I lose my incoming video.- ThealsterBrass ContributorSeems to be a bug that many people have! I have no idea of the solution (or a workround) or how to contact Microsoft either???

I have the same problem here. Video freezes as soon and someone starts sharing some content.

ChananB Same here - RTX4090 and Win11. Everyone sees me in New Teams, but I can't see myself or anyone else.

ChananB i have also the same problem. only workaround i found is to disable the camera in preview window when joining, and activate the cam in the call.
also the problem only occure when i join from channels, chats or calendar, problem doesn't occure when i get a 1:1 call or make one. i think it has something to do with the joining preview window.
screenshare also will freeze all cameras. no solving found for this.

Experiencing this issue as well.
No issues with old Teams, but videos freeze and screen sharing doesn't work when using New Teams both in the Public Preview channel.
Running a RTX 3080. Currently running a virtual camera: NVIDIA Broadcast.
- quentar82Copper Contributorsame here, i am also using Nvidia Broadcast with RTX 4090, but problem also appears with direct camera, or obs virtual camera and so on. as i wrote, deactivate your cam in the preview window, join the meeting, and in the meeting activate your camera, than it will work.
- Home_NestCopper ContributorI had the same problem with RTX 580
- TDupont1337Copper ContributorSame exact issue, but only on my home machine (Alienware M17 R4). My work system is a Surface Book 3 and it is working fine on New Teams.
- dgonzalez1992Copper ContributorI have this exact same issue with the new teams. I have no idea how to fix it. Don't even have the option to go back to the old Teams now.

dgonzalez1992 EVERYONE in our office is having this same issue. Why can't they just let us stay on the old Teams?!

It seems that microsoft is rolling out a fix, which should be available soon.
- nExoRCopper Contributoralthough the option is now missing from the app itself, you can run teams from system shortcut/executable and it still behaves the same.
i tried to experiment with options directly in the graphic card driver and disable some accelerations etc - but with no success. I haven't tried many options though. I have 3 different computers and the problem only on one. Initially I tough the problem is with NVidia, but I saw ppl reporting different models/manufacturers so it is no driver specific or chip-specific. I'm guessing it's React framework glitch with how it handles some feature or rendering graphics.
maybe there is patient person with some time to test disablement of all anti-aliasing, rendering and accelerations and see what happens?
I'll add that my quickest method of testing is to use settings -> devices -> test call. even here my camera view freezes.- ThealsterBrass ContributorWhat a mare - I'm Intel processor and Nvidia graphics (new high-end machine this year so all up to date) and running Windows 11.
Hope someone at Microsoft fixes this soon!

Hello,
I have exactly the same problem since a few days.
It was working great before until recently.
