"Show on task" previews suddenly not showing
Hi This has worked fine up until last week. We have several planners with PowerPoint documents attached to the task cards. Up until last week we could see the previews on the task card. Now, none of the previews are showing for any of the users. Just the PPT logo. This is happening both in the Teams app (Mac) and browser. If the task is viewed on a mobile device, then the preview shows as expected. Other image file types such as JPG etc. still work OK. Any ideas? Thanks
Can GUESTS access t Premium Plan in Teams?
I created a Teams Team and want to manage a premium plan project therein. I have the Planner-Plan 1 license. One external supplier is a guest in my Team but he cannot see the Premium plan. Is this by design or is there any wrong setting in my system? I could not find any information on this in the Microsoft documentation. There is a big issue with visibility of task boxes on dark theme. The contrast of the box edge with dark background is very low. it very hard to discern the task box edges. There is practically no customizability for how things look in planner. all there is, is an option to change the banner color which is not very helpful. If there was an option to change the default color of boxes that would help immensely on visibility.
When can we drag files, outlook items and attachment to Planner?
The flow to flag mail getting into a task in Planner is great but the attachment of mail is not included. We like to use Planner as Trello for complaints handling by different assignees. The complaint mail is getting into Planner but the attached complaint file doesn't come with it by this flow. So to get this into Planner i would like to drag and drop attachments and files what Trello facilitates. Anybody smart alternatives or workaround or better smart Flow ideas?? I prefer to stick to the MS apps, so no 3rd party apps.Planner Premium + Power Automate
Not sure if others have experienced this as well, but I am having trouble accessing my planner premium plans in power automate. I’ve come to learn that the Planner actions in power automate do not support planner premium. Instead, the Microsoft Project actions, which are far less useful, support Planner Premium. I was really hoping to use planner premium and power automate together, and so far am deeply disappointed - especially after having waited for my companies admin approval for the tool. Anybody have an workarounds?
Unable to see tasks assigned to me in Planner Premium in the "My Tasks" Teams tab
Hi, We're currently developing an application in Project for the Web (soon transitioning to Planner Premium) for a department at the company I work for. One of the key reasons we chose Project for the Web is its integration with Planner in Microsoft Teams. However, I recently discovered that only tasks from plans created in the default environment are visible in the "My Tasks" view in Planner. While I can see the plans in the "My Plans" tab, none of the tasks assigned to me appear in "My Tasks". I've read about workarounds using Power Automate to mirror tasks into Planner, but this approach isn't sustainable for long-term use. Does anyone have more information about the roadmap or whether Microsoft plans to support task visibility from non-default environments in the near future? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Nicolas
Planner - We can't show comments right now
I'm getting the following error display as a banner on one of my Plans when I open Task items. "We can't show comments right now. Check again in a few minutes" I'm almost certain that this message only appears when a Task Comment has been deleted from the group mailbox. The issue is that the error message is misleading and my users think that comments are failing to show. Is there any way to prevent this message from displaying - I don't have access to the Admin Centre unfortunately.Quick Look is not showing attachments
Hi, I had many plans the were switched from Project for the Web to Planner on August 1, 2025. In those plans, I've noticed that quick look does not show the paper clip icon to indicate that a task has an attachment. Is this a glitch, or a feature? Our Events staff work in Microsoft Teams in a team called COMMUNITY EVENTS. Each event they organise is represented as a channel. Each channel has its own Planner board to list tasks to complete that event. There are 6 staff as team members and they are all doing different types of tasks inside the same Planner board. There are currently 26 events going on, ergo 26 channels, 26 planner boards. This team needs to see ALL the tasks across all 26 channels / planner boards in one calendar. I cannot figure out how to do this. Does anybody have any ideas please? Also, if we were to create one team per event, rather than one channel per event, would that make achieving this overall calendar any easier? Thanks
New planner doesn't show a "schedule" view of tasks assigned to me from different plans
The new version of web-based Planner was enabled for me a few days ago, on November 17th. Apparently, I realized that one of the features I used is missing. At the "My Tasks" view, in the old version of Planner, one could choose to have different views, apart from the grid view. The most useful one for me was the "schedule" view, since I could see in one calendar, all assigned tasks from different plans/teams/projects. This functionality now seems to have been removed, and one can only see one separate schedule per plan.
