MS Edge - Sidebar and copilot not working on Linux Ubuntu v24 LTS
Sidebar not syncing or accepting new app additions (+). Copilot button is dead/inactive. Sidebar settings are well configured.Using the latest version of the Ubuntu OS and MS Edge. Functionality appears to be absent as product was released without full functionality....Lame!

Hello all I am still waiting for a separate search bar in the header of Edge, like in Firefox. So I need two separate bars, an address-bar and an search-bar besides. I know that I can also put in search termin the address-bar, but I need the two bars separate. A long time ago, I read something about an alpha/beta/testing version, but havent seen anything yet. Any clues?
Auto Open File Types not working anymore
Seems like a few updates ago this option is no longer in the UI, it was available as a right click in any file in the download page or popup. I have another computer that I had this configured from before and it is still working, the filetype is even listed on this page: edge://settings/downloads
Open all tabs from previous session but load only last used one
I'm used to work with a lot of tabs organized in several groups and I don't want to lose such tabs when I close and then reopen Edge. This is achievable through settings and I've no complains over it. However, when I open Edge, I expect only the last used tab to load, or at most the tabs from the last group I was using. It is absurd that all the 50+ tabs, splitted in 10+ groups, are loaded all at once, making the startup process very slow. I come from Firefox, where all the tabs from the previous session appears, but only the last used one actually loads. The other ones are loaded only once the user browse on them. The very existence of groups assumes an user is expected to keep a lot of tabs open but to work only with a very small subset of them at a given time. So it's absurd to waste resources, increase power consumption and reduce startup performances by loading all the tabs from the last session, even if most of them will probably not be used.Edge for Linux/ARM64
I know there was announcements at Ignite 2019 that Edge would come to Linux at some point. My guess is that meant builds for x86_64. I would like to ask that builds be made for ARM64 as well. With ARM64 for Windows being put out there at some point in the near future, it would be nice to see all bases covered.
Edge New PDF Reader form security bug
Edge can not display a certain PDF under the following conditions. Edge "New PDF Viewer" feature is enabled at "edge://flags/#edge-new-pdf-viewer". A pdf is encrypted with the security setting of "Changed allowed" as "Filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields". Showing and Hiding texts with Acrobat form Javascript does not work properly. Notice: a. Adobe Reader works as expected. Chrome PDF Viewer works as expected. Firefox works as expected. Even Edge old pdf viewer works as expected. b. If a PDF is not encrypted, the same PDF works as expected. Hello On my laptop, I have Edge which sometimes has a display problem, in 1/4 of a second, the display disappears and comes back immediately, but it is very brief No problem on my desktop with the same version, for example Maybe a graphic problem? Problem with copilot and sidebar
Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well! I recently installed Windows 10 and am using the Edge browser. However, I'm experiencing some issues: I can't open Copilot, and the sidebar doesn't seem to work. When I click the Copilot icon or press the sidebar shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + E), nothing happens. Additionally, I noticed that the sidebar settings do not show the usual options for apps and notifications. This is my first time encountering such issues, and I would appreciate any guidance or solutions. Thank you!
UI bug in Edge Stable and Edge Canary for android.
I'm currently using Edge Canary on Samsung Tab S9 +. There is a serious UI bug. Whenever I exit any video from fullscreen mode, layout of browser changes completely. I have attached two pictures for reference. In picture 1 , a youtube video is clicked and playing normally. After I click go fullscreen and I come back again to the normal player mode, layout changes completely and new buttons appear at the bottom. This looks horrendous on a tab. Otherwise Edge compatibility is very good for an android tablet . I'dlike to add that this is not specifc to youtube. This happens every time I go fullscreen and exit back from any video on any site. So this is a problem with edge, not with the website. I checked stable and canary versions. This would be in dev as well though i havent checked.Dev Channel update to 133.0.2992.0 is live.

So I was wondering whether there’s a dedicated place for reporting bugs or should I just post here?Favorite Bars in Workspaces changed since this morning
Hi everyone! Since yesterday, all my Workspaces had their own favorite bars. When I reopened Edge this morning, I was shocked at first, because I thought my favorites had all disappeared. But it turns out they are now hidden under a folder on the left of the Favorites Bar, making it annoying and cumbersome to access them and the rest of the Favorites bar is now shared among Workspaces. I don't know if I accidentally changed an option but I couldn't find a way to revert it back to how it was. I also couldn't find any information on this being a new feature that was introduced yesterday. If it is, I really don't like it because I don't want to see my work related tabs when I am in my free time workspace and clicking an extra folder each time I want to access a workspace is really cumbersome. Has anyone else noticed this change? I really hope it is an option.😅Sidebar apps saving not intuitive
I've just discovered browsing on the internet that it is possible to save the list of apps opened on the sidebar. I've been missing such feature for over a month. I must say the current way of making sure an app is saved is not intuitive at all. I never realized there was a tiny little horizontal bar until I read about it on the internet. There should be a button to save a given app in the sidebar, so the user can find out this feature, otherwise he/she could end up never discovering it is actually possible to save sidebar apps.Lateral tabs related shortcuts
I love the lateral tabs feature and the tab groups as well, I use it a lot at my work place. However, there are at least a couple of keyboard shortcuts that should be added in order to improve the user productivity: a shortcut to open a new tab in the group the current tab belong to: when I'm working with the tabs from a given group, is like I'm working with that group, and if I open a new tab, it's very likely I want to open it in that very group. a shortcut to pin/unpin lateral tabs It goes without saying that for users who need to maximize their productivity it makes a big difference to be able to carry out the most frequent tasks by means of keyboard shortcuts.Edge container tabs
Hello everyone. One of the things I like in the Firefox is the possibility of using containers. Mozilla have two containers add-on's, Facebook Container (exclusively to the Facebook) and Multi-Account Containers. The first is used to prevent Facebook tracking our online activity by creating an isolated and exclusive environment. Where every cookie, every tracking script, APIs that Facebook creates / uses / have, are isolated inside the container. And the second, is almost the same thing as the first, works by creating an isolated environment as well, but is for any website. The containers are, a some kind, sandboxes. I'd like to see the support for this in the Edge. Microsoft need to bring this to the Edge, but in a natively way without the need of installing any extension. And the option to create a container tab can be placed next to the profile avatar, for example. By the way, Chrome/Chromium do not have support for this. This is a very very useful.
