Anyone down for Edge logo options?
So is it me or the new Microsoft Edge log not as fun? You know what would be fun? Options. I would love to see a buried settings options for the type of logo we can have. Hell, I think if they give us the option to swap between the Spartan Logo, Edge logo, and New Edge logo that will be fun. I love options and Windows has always been the better bet for it. Let us have fun with one of the most important apps we use on our computers.

Favorite Bars in Workspaces changed since this morning
Hi everyone! Since yesterday, all my Workspaces had their own favorite bars. When I reopened Edge this morning, I was shocked at first, because I thought my favorites had all disappeared. But it turns out they are now hidden under a folder on the left of the Favorites Bar, making it annoying and cumbersome to access them and the rest of the Favorites bar is now shared among Workspaces. I don't know if I accidentally changed an option but I couldn't find a way to revert it back to how it was. I also couldn't find any information on this being a new feature that was introduced yesterday. If it is, I really don't like it because I don't want to see my work related tabs when I am in my free time workspace and clicking an extra folder each time I want to access a workspace is really cumbersome. Has anyone else noticed this change? I really hope it is an option. 😅
Microsoft Edge will not update on macOS
I posted this on another Microsoft forum, but is anyone else having problems with MS Edge updating automatically on macOS? The new installation method is similar to Chrome: you download the .DMG file and drag the Edge app package to the /Applications folder. Upon first launch, Edge deploys the EdgeUpdater files into my home directory (~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/EdgeUpdater), but updates are never run. Edge always reports that it's up to date, despite being a version or two behind. Anyone else seeing this? Thanks. Rich
ERROR: Unable to load workspaces error in every OS for edge browser
Hello, I've got always error when try to access Edge Workspaces. Tried reinstalling, remove all cookies, re-sync, hard sync etc. tried all ways but not works that all things. I've tried these Edge Browsers on MacOS and Windows operating systems too. I researched this on forums etc. but cannot fixed that. Has anyone idea to fix that problem? Team's should not switch emoji's in quoted messages.
Certain emoji's are replaced when a message is quoted. This can misconstrue original intent/meaning of a message. Instead the tooltip information should be displayed if there is no universal emoji that is being quoted. In this example something like <headless turkey emoji> or even a image not found icon.Copilot Edge SideBar authentication
Hello, after Edge version 134.0.3124.72, the Copilot Edge SideBar requires authentication. That authentication calls EXO and SPO in the background which is asking users to respond to an MFA prompt. Is this by design in the new Edge or is there another way that Copilot SideBar only asks for authentication when opening it not by default when opening the browser. thank you
Severe Frame Drops in Microsoft Edge When Playing Tencent Video HEVC at 1080P in Windows
When playing HEVC videos from Tencent Video(https://v.qq.com) on Microsoft Edge (Windows), I experience severe frame drops at 1080P resolution. However, this issue does not occur when playing at 720P. Interestingly, Chrome does not exhibit the same problem when playing the same 1080P videos. I have saved the relevant video files for comparison. Is this a bug in Edge? I feel I should start by saying thank you to the Edge UI/UX team. Yous really have made the best browser UI on the market and I really appreciate it. TL;DR version: when in vertical tabs mode, the new tab button should be at the top of the tab strip in a fixed position. I even made a quick mock of what this would look like Vertical tabs mode is best for users that have many tabs open, but for users that have many tabs open, that means the new tab button is almost always located at the bottom of the screen. That is a problem - especially for people trying vertical tabs mode for the first time - because the "cost" or "friction" of clicking the new tab button is much higher compared to what that person is used to. The user has to move the cursor too far and it takes too long to reach the new tab button all the way in the bottom left corner of the screen. It is a very large regression in UX efficiency and I'm very confident this is a big reason why so many users don't stick with vertical tabs. Below is a screenshot where I superimpose vertical tabs mode on top of normal horizontal tabs mode and drew a green arrow line so you can see where the user is used to the new tabs button being compared to the vertical tabs mode position. That is is a massive change and increase in cursor distance. Also, on desktop browsers, the buttons and UI are at the top of the screen. This isn't just muscle memory but also where the users eyes are accustomed to. But in Edge's vertical tabs mode, the new tab button is usually closer to the bottom of the screen, making it an odd outlier of a decades long unofficial "law". Safari has had a fixed position new tab button for many years, so we know this is a good and "safe" thing to do, there's no worries or risks with a fixed position new tab button. And Edge's vertical tabs already do the reverse gravity behaviour that would be needed for this, so this wouldn't be a lot of work!Notes App for Edge Sidebar
I am an avid Edge user in my personal and professional life. While I don't miss having a notes style app for the sidebar in my personal life, I do REALLY want a notes app for the Edge Sidebar. Nothing fancy or overly thought out. I just want to be able to write down a bullet list of important tasks I need to get done during my work day so they don't get lost. I've tried using a sticky note, but it blocks other aspects of my desktop and work space. It would be perfect in edge to just be able to have it there at all times in a single window. Would it be possible to get a (semi) permanent/fixed URL link for the Microsoft Edge Policy Templates for Microsoft Windows (preferably 64-bit)? There are already "fwlink" direct download links for the latest releases of Microsoft Edge MSI x86/X64, e.g. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2093437 for MicrosoftEdgeEnterpriseX64.msi Could we please get one for the MicrosoftEdgePolicyTemplates.cab? Currently, we have to go to the Microsoft Edge Enterprise landing page https://aka.ms/EdgeEnterprise and click through the link and agree to the download. Machine learning powered autofill suggestions
Hello, It looks like a new Machine Learning autofill feature was rolled out with Edge 132 and enabled by default. There is a bug with this setting where even if you have the parent "Save and fill basic info" setting disabled, the Machine Learning suggestions still appear even though the setting is grayed out. This leads to a confusing user experience, because folks that work in enterprise forms with PII try to disable their autofill, only for the feature to remain active. The workaround to disable this feature is to re-enable Autofill, turn of ML suggestions, then disable Autofill again. It looks like there is an enterprise policy to control this setting rolled out on January 17 with Edge 132.0.2957.115. However, I do not see this setting in Intune's Settings Catalog. We are trying to manage in the cloud and avoid creating any more group policies. Is anyone aware of an ETA for this to be added to Settings Catalog? I'd prefer not to set up a Remediation or ADMX CP only for the setting to become available shortly thereafter. Thanks! AndrewUpdate to the latest version of Edge to continue using Copilot
Hello, My organization has about 130 Copilot licenses. We use a controlled rollout for Edge updates to validate compatibility with in-house applications. We are currently on Edge 132.0.2957.115 for our main update ring. My Copilot users are reporting the following message in Edge today when they try to open the Copilot sidebar: Is there documentation somewhere indicating what version of Edge is required to use Copilot? We can't turn on automatic updates, and I'm sure other orgs that have purchased Copilot licenses are in the same boat. Copilot seems to load fine on the M365/Webview2/UWP version. Thanks! UpDate; As of todays update "Version 136.0.3203.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)" colors are all back on the settings page, except for the favorites bar folders.... Thanks for the fast fix. Dennis5mile Where's the Color? Since about 4 or so updates ago, Edge Canary settings page has had its blue button color removed.. WHY??? Also, the folder color in the Favorites bar has NO color... This plain outlined folders bite. Bring back yellow folders, or give us the ability to make them whatever color we want and bring back the setting pages button colors... I’ve noticed that my website is not displaying correctly on Microsoft Edge, but it works perfectly on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Some elements are misaligned, and certain sections don’t resize properly on different screen sizes. I have already tried clearing the cache, checking for CSS and JavaScript compatibility issues. I am a user of the beta version of Edge on Linux. From time to time, I encounter bugs that I’d like to report. After some searching, this forum is the closest I have found to a bug tracker. Please make the entire browser window draggable from the unused part of the vertical tab area. The top bar is so busy, it's often hard to find a place to easily grab and drag the entire window. Other browsers like Arc already have this feature, but I'd rather use Edge. Thank you!
