As the title says, the splash screen on the app for android shows the light theme for a second when starting the app in dark mode. I want to be able to switch completely to edge on both mobile and PC, but with this bug I don't feel like i can. (Since it's kind of blinding at night!). I just thought I'd get this bug out here since I could not find any mentions about it elsewhere. Crossing fingers for a fix soon!Solved4.1KViews1like13CommentsGo Links on Edge Mobile
Dear community members, We use Intune managed computer and Zscaler that delivers DNS Search Domain. When user type a https://go/links in Edge browser, it automatically appends the FQDN to the address bar to become https://go.mycompanydomain.com/links. It is a quite common practice for Enterprise to provide convenience to access internal shortened URLs. With Intune managed mobile (also has Zscaler), can we achieve the same goal for Edge mobile? For the mobile use case, it is less of typing the go links directly in the browser. Because there are a lot of go links shared in Email and Chats from communications and newsletters, when user click them in Outlook or Teams on the phone, it will open in Edge. I am hoping when Edge opens these links, it automatically appends the search domain like on computers. I have looked up all Intune device and Edge documentation, chatted with three different LLMs, couldn't figure out a solution. All ideas are welcome! Thanks. Hi everyone! I'm experiencing a strange issue with the search suggestions when using bottom bar mode. In Microsoft Edge, there's a blank space between the input bar and the suggestions above it, as shown in the attached image (see the red line). Is anyone else seeing this bug? Any idea how to fix it? I am using Edge Canary and have installed several extensions through the developer options, but some of the extensions are not working when I resume from the background. The extensions that don't work seem to be automatically disabled internally, so I can disable them from the extension options and then re-enable them to use them again. (However, in the latest Canary build, if this problem occurs, the app crashes when I try to open the extension options.) This issue occurs with uBlock Origin, Stylus, etc., and probably occurs with the Manifest V2 extension. This issue occurs on multiple devices and occurs even after reinstalling, so it is not device-dependent.1.1KViews2likes3CommentsEdge Android does not truly install PWA
I believe Edge Android does not truly installs PWA, instead it creates a shortcut on the home screen. If I install PWA from Chrome, the app is added to the App drawer and also shows up in Settings > Apps list. This is not the case when installing via Edge. It only shows up on the home screen and there is a edge logo at the bottom right corner of the app logo. This is not a site specific issue, I have created multiple PWAs that install perfectly on other platforms and browsers except Edge. I even tried the https://microsoftedge.github.io/Demos/pwamp/ and it also behaves in the same way.1.4KViews2likes2CommentsApp theme is not reflected in the in-app browser on Edge for Android
In the MS Edge for Android, we can set the app theme appearance within the app separately from the system dark mode setting, but the in-app browser (Chrome custom tabs) such as Twitter will reflect the system settings instead of the in-app settings. The image was taken using the Twitter app's in-app browser with the system in dark mode and Edge in light mode, but the Edge menu is in dark mode.204Views0likes0CommentsAdd Extension Support for Android version of Edge browser
It's possible, there are browsers like Kiwi that support it. would be great if Microsoft Edge did the same and allowed our extensions used in desktop to be used on Android phones and tablets too. of course this needs to be considered in the process of revamping the current Edge Android version and swapping its engines.Solved167KViews60likes74Comments
