Legacy contract terms going away at renewal?
I am hearing that a customer currently on the old legacy CSP terms will be now forced into NCE terms at the renewal if that happens on or after July 1 2023. Can you provide guidance on and if legacy contracts currently enforce will be forced to NCE or will clients maintain the option to stay on legacy terms for the upcoming renewal? The NCE Playbook of course only defines what is current, which is that they can renew on legacy termsSolvedSteve_Leach1Jun 21, 2023Copper Contributor7.8KViews0likes29CommentsDynamics 365 Operations - Order Lines licenses cannot be activated.
Hi Team, Unfortunately, we cannot activate Dynamics 365 Operations - Order Lines licenses via the Partner Center. According to the price list the licenses should be available. I have also searched for the product id but without success. Do you have an answer for me?Ilja_22071982Oct 04, 2023Copper Contributor3.5KViews2likes18CommentsChanges in Enterprise licenses (not Teams SKUs) from October 1st in CSP
Hi All, May be licensing Team from Microsoft can clarify. As all of us know- there will be no Teams in Enterprise plans starting October 1st. According to Microsoft information- customers currently using "old" plans (with Teams included) can continue with them. My question is related to CSP case, when customer is changing partner after October 1st. Lets say that customer has Office 365 E3 (with Teams) subscription from partner A. Customer want to move to partner B. Will partner B be able to open new subscription with Teams after October 1st? I believe that message articulate clearly that this is "customer right" to choose after October 1st. But is this situation as described already implemented in Partner Center?3.8KViews0likes17CommentsBridge to the Cloud 2 Promo
Dear community We are still struggling with the best way to buy/get BttC2 Promo for our Dynamics AX customers. How do you guys get the SKUs when the migration project starts (as soon as customer is involved)? According to the FAQ, the customer can only once buy BttC2 SKUs ("...and is available only to customers that have not previously purchased a cloud version of the product..."). So basically, as from day 1 of the migration project, ALL possible SKUs have to be bought (even though with their bare minimum) because otherwise the customer would lose eligibility? Previously I thought (and I know, other partners are doing it this way) as long as the customer is on active EP, they can get BttC SKUs (so basically one initially for 20 users for the duration of the migration and as soon as they go live with a second order for the rest of the users). Any inputs welcome on how you guys are handling this. cheers DanielSolvedaxperience_graJan 17, 2024Iron Contributor4.7KViews0likes15CommentsPromo Bridge to the Cloud 2: Possible if another subsidiary has licensed BC in the same tenant?
We have a customer who already has a BC SaaS environment in their tenant, but it is for a subsidiary in the US. The Bridge to the Cloud 2 Promotion Guide states the following: - New customer on cloud product. Customer must not have previously purchased the same online product via legacy CSP or NCE. I do not understand this sentence 100%. Is "customer" equivalent to "tenant"? Would it be possible for this customer to use the Bridge to the Cloud 2 promotion even though there is already a BC SaaS environment (subscriptions without promotion) in the same tenant? The customer would like to create a new separate environment for BC for their German branch on the same tenant with the Bridge to the Cloud 2 promotion. (I already tested if it would be possible to order the additional BC subscription with the promo and yes, this is possible.) It would be great if you could help here. Thank you very much.SolvedJensH20457Jun 27, 2023Brass Contributor3KViews0likes15CommentsAnnual to Triennial - new end date?
I have searched quite a bit - surprise suprise, didn‘t find any answer… Since there is an upcoming price increase, many customers are thinking about locking their prices now for 36 months (in our case, D365 F/SCM). Can somebody tell me, what happens to an existing annual subscription if we change them to triennial? Current one: Jan 1 2024 - Dec 31 2024 - I change it on August 25 to triennial. new end date August 24 2027? Thanks for your help (there is nothing in the NCE handbook nor on the learn microsoft page about „Manage term duration and billing frequency“) cheersSolvedaxperience_graAug 16, 2024Iron Contributor1.3KViews1like12CommentsBTTC Promo 2 - D365 Finance additional base users on a monhtly basis
Dear Community another BTTC Promo 2 question: our customer is on this promo and has 55 Finance base users. For seasonal reasons, they would like to increase the base users for 5 users - but only temporarily. Thus, they want to have these users on a monhtly contract. Question: can we buy additional base user on a monhtly term? Problem: 20 users minimum for this SKU. Any input greatly appreciated thanks in advance Danielaxperience_graAug 29, 2023Iron Contributor1.5KViews1like11CommentsIs it possible to confirm a new client is on NCE or Legacy?
Is there a way to confirm if a new client currently has legacy or NCE subscriptions in their admin portal by viewing the "Your Products" page or some other page? I know that the subscription ID is given in the address bar when you click on each product. I also know that renewal and billing information is provided when you click on each product. But I am looking for a definitive way to tell what type of subscription the client has.SolvedEric_CoffmanAug 01, 2023Brass Contributor5.3KViews0likes11CommentsInvoice Capture Licensing
Hello, I have a question about Invoice Capture licensing and I have received contradictory answers. According to the licensing guide, Finance licenses include 100 Invoices per month per tenant and 20,000 AI Builder credits. As I understand it, it’s 100 invoices and not 100 invoice transactions (or invoice lines) and the use of Invoice Capture does not consume AI Builder credits unless you use custom invoice recognition models. Can someone confirm if I am correct? Thank you very much.Hugo_De_JesusOct 24, 2023Copper Contributor2.3KViews1like9CommentsNCE Tenant Migration mid-term - is it possible?
Hello everyone, we have a specific situation with an existing customer - they are "splitting up" their existing company into 2 legal entities. The "old" one will remain on the existing tenant but will abandon D365, and the "new" one will be in a completely new tenant that they wish to migrate their existing D365 NCE licenses to. I'm not optimistic this is doable, but wanted to check just in case.
