COCP
I got questions with regards to the Change Of Channel Partner (COCP) rule which has been introduced with the start of the new FY of MSFT. When is COCP being enforced? Is that already with the start of FY27? For transfers executed prior to start COCP will the partners still earn incentives after start date COCP? Eg. start date being July 1st, but the transfer was executed in April. Will the new partner keep earning their incentives after July? n When executing a CSP transfer, both the license costs and incentives are fully prorated. Eg. existing partner received a annual payment in September 2026 (getting full year costs and full year incentives) and executes a CSP transfer in December, they get credit of 8 months costs but also need to return the incentives for 8 months. Everything is prorated. Now with COCP the new partner would not earn the Core/Strategic incentives anymore, thus the new partner only get the 8 months costs, but not the 8 months of incentives. Is this correct? A Reseller switching between Disti's is considered COCP and thus won't be earning any Core/Strategic incentives anymore. Does this apply to both the existing Reseller and new Disti? During the community call yesterday it was mentioned that the only focus is on growth with regards to incentives. Resellers might be switching from a transactional Disti (one that doesn't support growth) to a added-value Disti (one that does support additional growth). But due to COCP guidelines, this is now strongly discouraged and punished by MSFT. Why are Resellers being punished for such a Disti switching, by loosing their Core/Strategic incentives? Same goes for customer tenants switch from partner to partner. The new partner would not earn any Core/Strategic incentives anymore, even though they might be the better partner for that customer to increase up- and cross-sell (realize growth). Now the new partner is being punished for being the better partner and taking over the customer tenant. Why? Hope to get some insights on how COCP will actually work, and the thoughts behind it from MSFT on why they introduced it. Cheers, Martijn216Views4likes2CommentsOV Subscription and M365
Hi Microsoft Community, at the Moment we the following situation with one of our Customers from Germany. The customer has two differrent types of contracts at the Moment, one is a M365 contract and the other one is an Open Value Supscription contract. As an attachment to this E-Mail i share the actual licenses of the Customer with you. The customer has the follwing licenses: M365: 1x Dynamics 365 Customer Voice for Teachers 200x Microsoft 365 A3 for Teachers 5600x Microsoft 365 A3 for Students 5x Microsoft 365 A5 for Teachers 100x Microsoft Teams Telefon Standard for Teachers 25x Microsoft Viva-Suite for Teachers 5x Planner for Project Plan 3 for Teachers 3x Planner for Project Plan 5 for Teachers OV- Subscription: 200 FTE; MS Core CAL Client Access License Suite, incl. Software Assurance. 2x MS Exchange Server Standard, incl. Software Assurance. 200 FTE; MS Project Professional incl. Software Assurance 200 FTE; MS Visio Professional Enterprise Device, incl. Software Assurance 25x MS Windows Remote Desktop Services User CAL 1x MS SQL Server Standard Edition, incl. Software Assurance 2x MS SQL Server Standard Core, incl. Software Assurance, 2 Licenses 320 Cores; MS Windows Server Standard, incl. Software Assurance 48 Cores; MS Windows Server Datacenter Core incl. Software Assurance The customer is a school and can participate at the Microsoft Education programm. Since the last partner of the customerdidnt do a good consulting job and wasnt able to answer the questions of the customer properly, he is now very sensitive about some questions he has. Maybe you can help us with those questions too: With the Microsoft 365 A3 License for Teachers or Students there also comes a Windows 10/11 Desktop Operation System Upgrade to Windows 10/11 Education/Enterprise. Is there a proper Operations system like Windows 11 Pro OEM needed to install the Windows 11 Education Edition on the PCs or can the customer also buy Systems without any Microsoft Operation Systems and install the Windows 11 Education license directly on the Device? To open up a Open Value Subscription Contract there are qualified Products needed. In this case its the Microsoft Core CALs. Are they always needed or is it possible to open a Contract without them? Cause the CALs would already been licensed about the Microsoft 365 A3 Licenses. Is it still true, that when you License all FTEs in a Open Value Subscription contract that you can Provide all those Licenese for the Students too, for example: Visio, Project, Windows Server? If yes, how can the Students get those licenses? Is there still a Microsoft Portal where they can sign up with their school account and can Download those Licenses? Thanks for your help. Team, I can see that an Ops-Activity license has ‘restricted Access/Inputs’ for the new BPP process. How can I find out exactly what the difference is between what an Ops/Activity license can do and what a Finance license can do in terms of ‘Restricted Access/Inputs’.242Views0likes1CommentNCE in Azure Government
Can anyone give me a status on NCE for Azure Gov? We have a large number of older legacy subscriptions we'd like to get off of and onto Azure Plans and as I read it until NCE is available in Gov that isn't going to be an option unless we do a resource migration (which is expensive and an exercise the customer shouldn't have to go through to get access to the cost management tools). Thanks in advance!282Views0likes3CommentsSQL Server Multiplexing Client Access License (CAL) requirements

If a customer has already ordered regular licenses through Enterprise Agreement, but decided to go with CSP and use B2C promo, is it possible to order B2C through CSP? Or the requirement for customer is to not have any D365 licenses on their tenant? One of the requirement in the B2C FAQ is - customer must not have previously purchased the same online product via legacy CSP or NCE. It doesn't mention anything about EA.MLollenFeb 04, 2025Brass Contributor227Views0likes3CommentsD365 - Operations Activity license
Does Ops activity license cover all needed operations for a warehouse employee including the usage of the warehouse application or is the full user license type needed? In more detail, can a warehouse employee receive, store, move, assemble, count (inventory check), pick and ship items with this license type? Looking for confirmation specially around assembly.MLollenJan 21, 2025Brass Contributor478Views0likes1CommentMove M365 licenses between tenants
