Issue with Discussion Responses Not Being Saved
Over the past few days, my responses to discussions have not been saving properly. After submitting a reply, the portal shows it as submitted, but when I refresh the page, the response disappears. Initially, I didn’t notice the issue, but today I checked one of my replies from last week and found it missing. I tried resubmitting it, but the same thing happened again. Additionally, I’ve noticed that normally, when a reply is posted, it appears in the notifications—but in this case, the replies are not showing up there either. Could you please check if this issue is specific to my account, or if others are experiencing the same problem? Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any help would be appreciated.
Unable to install graphics driver /display adapter
OS: Windows 10 Pro - 64bit As the title says, I cannot install my graphics driver and I am stuck with the Microsoft Basic Display Driver (as directx diag says) I also cannot find the display adapters tab in Device Manager. It is instead replaced with Video Controller (VGA Compatible) in Other Devices. I have tried downloading from my GPU manufacturer, using Windows update, manually installing the driver, using DDU to remove old drivers incase of driver conflict, and downloading in Safe Mode. None of these worked. This started happening after I used the command DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth I get under 6 FPS on every game I try to play. I have tried using the Add Legacy Hardware via Device Manager, but it says "The system cannot find the file specified" GPU: GeForce GTX 750 Ti CPU: AMD A10-9700 Radeon R7 10 COMPUTE CORES 4C+6G
copy address book
I need to copy all the email addresses in my "Outlook Address Book" into an Exce; spreadsheet. I can "open" my address book in Outlook and see all the entries. I can high-light them all. But Ctrl-C refuses to "copy" them. Or is it Ctrl-V in Excel that refuses to paste them ? Outlook does "seem to" have an "Export" routine, but that only pastes the first fifty and the last item ! VERY strange . . .
Forum site often slow to load and responses don't "take"
Not always, but often enough to be aggravating, the Tech Community forum doesn't always load or takes an inordinate length of time to open a page. That issue occurred a couple of times today. In addition, I responded to a user post with a rather detailed answer this morning. My response seemed to "take" as there was no error message saying it did not post, yet when I checked back a couple hours later to see if the user responded, my detailed response was nowhere to be seen. I re-typed my detail response again and it appeared to "take" but again when I checked back a couple hours later, my second attempt at responding was nowhere to be seen. There are numerous topics about slowness of this site going back for years (before recent update, which was already so long ago). But what i am experiencing for the past few months is something different. Every time i come to this site first time and say click a link in RSS feed for one of the blog articles i have to wait up to a minute for it to start loading anything (it shows an empty page and loading animation in the browser). After that it would be loading pages quick (well, normal speed for this site, which is still sluggish). But if i do not browse here for 30 min or longer then again first load will be annoyingly long. It is like there is some load balancer/throttling for each new visitor and you have to stand in line.
MS Excell application for Client database working under Windows XP
Hi all, In my company we have a MS Excell application for Client database working under Windows XP. For Windows 10 it wrks now under a virtual box. I want it to work with Windows 11! Hi, I recently got a new 1440p 200Hz monitor and after the installation I completely lost all of my audio devices and got the "no devices installed" on my sound settings. I was able to fix it by opening the services app and changing the windows audio service from account based to local and manual starting the service as it was previously stopped. Now I can see my audio devices but none of them actually produce audio. I have tried updating and reinstalling drivers, and I even contacted windows support, and they said that since I was using an insider build, they did not have the ability to assist further than they did. I am very confused as to how a new monitor caused this and have no idea where to begin to fix it.
TCP'connections not closed when using MSappproxy
Hi, We are currently having issues with TCP connections just keep filling up on the server side, that will eventually result in out of memory so that we will have to do a hard shutdown. We are seeing this in the error logs: Object was GCed but not disposed. Any suggestions?
Random audio drops when using optical
For reference I’m using a Fiiok11 and for some odd reason when I’m in game, maybe every 1-2 minutes, the audio randomly goes noticeably quieter, makes a clicking sound then back to normal. I’ve checked and I’m not hammering the disc or CPU so I have no idea? Might it be a driver issue? I’ve tested on usb C and all good. The amp only has one usb C port so I’m not a fan of having to keep unplugging it for different devicesWindows 11 Pro. 64 bit: Taskbar
I've tried everything to get the taskbar to only be raised from bottom up one level & can't do it. Is there anyone out there that can provide some help with this ? Thanks. I use the taskbar to have quick access to pinned user installed software programs & system shortcut accessing icons on it while allowing room to have recently opened programs with full name of them to show, just like I had done when using Windows 10 Pro. 64 bit & trying to ask this question to evaluate if I should go back to Windows 10 Pro. 64 bit if there is no answer to this solution. The google search says to open RegEdit & perform a certain command adjustment, but later found out that Microsoft has put an end to the use of this & thus doesn't work anymore, so this is why i'm here to ask some questions. Close browser after each session of chrome or NAB (deletes cookies) Select pc Settings > privacy & security > delete browser data > select cookies & other site data (All time) If 2fa prompt stops working, then > open task manager & end task for chrome (closes all sessions of chrome)
MFA Initial Setup Now Now Longer Offers Security Keys
Hi Microsoft Community, We're trialling FIDO2 keys for our organisation as a priamry means of MFA. We bought a handful of keys to test with a month or so ago, and at the time using a Security Key was an option on first account setup, i.e. after you have provided your microsoft ID and password you are then taken to the Initial Setup wizard. However on testing it now seems like the only options present to the user on initial setup are Authenticator, Hardware Token, and Phone Number. Why/has Microsoft changed approach here, and is there an option to permit use of a Security Key on this pane, as I can not find a setting for this within the Admin Console. It is worth noting that we can use Authenticator on this screen to complete the process, then go to Microsoft Account Security page, add a secondary means of MFA (Security Key), and then delete the original Authenticator method, leaving us with just the Security Key. Dear Team, We are working on retrieving email address of the user joined to Entra ID from Entra-joined macOS devices, specifically while running in a system context. The sudo dscl . -read /Users/$(whoami) RecordName command give the local user name whose password is synced with the entra ID. Just recently I noticed that when I power up and go to my desktop login in screen I noticed something that was never there. I'll describe what I'm seeing. Between my user name and the enter my pin number there is now a small rectangular box of dots that I've never seen before. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose. It doesn't affect my login process. It's a grid box of three dots horizontal by three dots vertical with a single dot in the 4th row Any idea what it is? User Name ... ... ... . Enter my pin The dot representation is expanded vertically but that's the best I could do(URGENT!!) I fell for a phishing scam and ended up losing access to my Microsoft account.
Earlier today (9/13/2025) I ended up falling for a phishing scam via Discord, which ended up having me lose most if not all access to my Microsoft account. What I do know is that they changed the primary email, so my original email no longer works, and that there's a high possibility that they've sold it to a third party based on what they were saying. I was unable to make the automated recovery work because of the original email being changed. I'd hope to possibly get more assistance on this issue, I'll attempt to provide as much proof that I'm the original owner of the account based on my account history as: Original email address Last known password Approximated account creation date Details of my purchases Any assistance on how to proceed with this issue would be greatly appreciated!! I have an old tech community profile out there that was associated with a previous employer’s email address, and I’d like to have that profile deleted. Obviously I no longer have access to the email address the profile is linked to, so I can’t sign in and delete it myself. Hi everyone, I’m having a frustrating issue with my Microsoft accounts and hoping for some advice. I have three separate Microsoft accounts, each with a different email address, because I have three separate Minecraft accounts. However, all three accounts are linked to the same mobile phone number. The problem is that every time I try to verify ownership of one account using my phone number, one of the other accounts seems to go inactive or gets flagged. It seems Microsoft doesn’t handle multiple accounts sharing the same phone number very well. Teams Phone Domain Verification - Weeks of Delays Despite Providing All Required Documents
I'm a small business CEO in Germany, trying to verify my domain for Microsoft Teams Phone. I've been stuck in verification for WEEKS despite providing all required documentation multiple times. Documents Provided: Official Namecheap Order Summary (domain purchase receipt from August 2025) Official domain ownership transfer confirmation to my company SPONTANEUS UG All information requested: domain name, owner, registration date, duration, registrar The Problem: Microsoft support repeatedly rejects these standard domain registration documents, asking for the same information. The requirements keep changing mid-process, and when I request escalation to a supervisor, the requests are ignored. Business Impact: I've paid for Teams Phone, but I'm unable to activate it. This is preventing me from making business calls to prospects - directly impacting my ability to generate revenue.
