Why I can't see my own profile in Tech Community?

When I try to see my own profile on tech community it says the current user can't be found...? The problem disappears when I log in...

  • You need to sign in first in order to see an user profile, including yourself.

  • Hi, if the profile only fails when you are signed out, it may be a profile visibility, caching, or indexing issue rather than the account being missing.

     

    I would try:

     

    1. Open the profile in an InPrivate/InPrivate window.

    2. Test from another browser or network.

    3. Make sure the profile URL is the public profile URL, not an account/settings URL.

    4. Check your community privacy/profile settings.

    5. Wait a little if the account was newly created or recently changed.

     

    If it still says the user cannot be found publicly, I would report it to the Tech Community team with the profile URL and screenshots from signed-in and signed-out views.
