Issue with registering attendance for Tech Community event
While the notification email sent when registering my attendance for a Tech Community event (Windows Office Hours: April 2026 - Microsoft Tech Community) included a calendar invitation, accepting the invitation resulted in me receiving an NDR for the acceptance response (which was sent to email address removed for privacy reasons). These invitations were previously sent from a different email address (of the form firstname.lastname at creatrixmedia.com) and this address happily accepted the meeting responses. Since you don't need the responses, you probably want to update the code creating the .ics attachment to replace RSVP=TRUE with RSVP=FALSE. Hope this is helpful.
File Share Connector users not mapping
Hi everyone, In need of some help here. I've setup an on-prem file share connector following this guide: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/copilot/connectors/fileshare-connector I can see the indexed items in my test folder, but, we can't crawl that data because the users are not mapping for some reason. I've been testing using the NTFS file permissions option. Has anyone had any success with using this option to sync/map users to the connector? If so, what were the requirements? The users are AD to entra id connect synced and the group I created is also AD to entra id connect synced as well. I applied ntfs perms to the test folder directly using the synced identity and tried using the group and the full crawl still does not populate users. I am not using nested groups neither. I also tried removing built-in groups such as administrators, authenticated users, etc. I've had a ticket open for weeks with Microsoft now with no answers.
Upgrade from Windows11 Home 23HR to 25HR is this possible
l currently run Windows 11 Home 23HR . In November 2024 l did receive prompt to upgrade HR24, but had website access issues when HR24 was installed. l have since uninstalled HR24 and am back to the original HR 23 l did receive one update in February for the Windows Malicious Tool detect but that was all. l have not received any operating system updates from Microsoft, nor have l received any requests to upgrade. How can I install Visual Studio 2022 v17.12.6 Community Edition?
Hello everyone, I need to install Visual Studio 2022 version 17.12.6 (Community Edition) for compatibility with the InDesign 2026 SDK, which requires this specific version for building plugins. However, when I checked the Microsoft Visual Studio downloads and release history pages, I could only find the Professional edition installer for version 17.12.6. I was unable to locate the Community edition for this exact version. Windows Explorer 11 Jumps to top (Home) when browsing file folders
I haves seen many users posting about having this issue on the Internet with no solutions to the issue. When browsing through FOLDERS in Windows Explorer, the search jumps back to the top of the page to HOME. This is extremely frustrating, especially as one drills down in the file structure and then you are shot to the top of the page. I have seen a lot of suggestions with settings, but nothing definitive. Users are calling it a bug in Windows 11, but I can't believe Microsoft would not have fixed this most irritating issue yet.???????Replies not showing up on discussion board
Hi all, I have a problem I bumped into in excel and went to the excel discussion board to see if I could get help. I have had some answers that don't work and when I tried to reply to these people one out of maybe a dozen of my replies got published. None of them had personal info or bad mouthing or anything like this I am trying to figure out why they don't get published so I can solve the problem. Any help will be appreciated. I am working as a Power Apps developer in a Dynamics 365 environment that has the Field Service module enabled. In the same environment, some users only have Sales licenses. I assigned a security role that provides read access to the Warehouse table to a user with a Sales license. The user is able to access and read the data successfully, even though they do not have a Field Service license. This makes me unclear about how licensing is enforced in Dynamics 365. If security roles alone can grant access to tables, how do licenses actually restrict functionality? Why is it necessary to purchase additional licenses if users can still access data through security roles? Could someone clarify how licensing enforcement works in this scenario and what the best practice is?
