Re: FYI - Partners struggling with Verification
My approval finally came through this evening. I didn't do anything different; I just left it in its rejected state for the past few days so, unfortunately, I can't give any substantive advice on how to resolve the issue. Perhaps, the backlog the support team is dealing with is part of the issue but there's clearly more that needs to be done to alleviate the frustrations we've been experiencing. The more we can shed light on this issue, the more the relevant powers that be within Microsoft can understand the scale of the problem.1.1KViews1like0CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue

martinamsinck That’s the same issue many of us are experiencing and with the same refusal reason. I can vouch for the Google Partner Advantage Program. It has been a breath of fresh air and the verification process is very sensible compared with the process for the MPP. Furthermore, everything you need to do to reach the various partner levels are not only spelt out for you but they provide clear guidance on how to fulfil the requirements. I’ve been a Microsoft specialist for well over 20 years but the MPP verification nightmare forced me to take a closer look at Google’s offerings so my business can remain viable. If Microsoft does not correct this glaring flaw in their verification process, they will be doing Google’s job for them, particularly for startups.4.8KViews2likes1CommentRe: FYI - Partners struggling with Verification
I couldn't have said it better. To add to the other potential ways to get this sorted, one option I tried this morning was to create a new tenant as part of the Partner registration process. Unfortunately, my original partner account registration hadn't been deleted when I tried and I couldn't delete it myself from the "Identifiers" page so will have to raise a support ticket and try again. Maybe someone can give that a try and let us know if it works. I won't be able to try it again until support deletes my current account. I agree with what you said about JillArmour and other MS staff re their hands being tied as well. Thanks JillArmour for all your efforts.1.2KViews1like0CommentsRe: Stopped for over a month
That’s just it; they can afford it, which is why it’s not a priority for them. The problem appears to be that they’re apparently using an almost 100%-AI process, which is flawed. I’ve read a report that they started augmenting the human verification process with AI back in 2018. Given how heavily Microsoft is invested in OpenAI and the volume of staff they’ve laid off, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve fully automated that process, given the volume of people experiencing the same issue and the static responses we’ve been receiving. The people being impacted are the smaller consultancies.495Views0likes1CommentRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
Microsoft simply DOES NOT CARE about smaller partners, as long as they are getting the bigger deals via their large partners. I had given up on this process and was focusing on my Google Partner Advantage membership, which has been a breath of fresh air so far, and then some guy from within Microsoft Partner Support reached out to me and gave me some sliver of hope that at least one person in Microsoft was trying to help unblock this issue so I decided to give the process one last chance and I've been waiting the past week for an outcome. Unfortunately, the Verifications team sent me the SAME GARBAGE AUTO RESPONSE THIS MORNING from their OneVet verification process so I'm back to square 1 and completely done with this process. My business has lost a lot of revenue and I have lost a lot of time and money navigating this broken process. NO ONE in Microsoft cares, not even the VP of Global Partner Solutions, who I've reached out to on 2 separate platforms to raise awareness of this issue we're all facing with no acknowledgement. From this point onward, I am ceasing to recommend Microsoft 365 in favour of Google Workspace and Azure in favour of Google Cloud Platform and will be moving all my businesses to Google over the coming months, along with any customers for which it makes sense. Only in cases where a client absolutely wants Microsoft solutions or where it is the best solution for the client will I be deploying Microsoft solutions because I cannot be promoting products for a company that does not care about its partners or that I am not receiving revenue or credit for. Good luck guys.1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
The contact information in my Azure AD tenant matches the application to the letter, to the symbol even. Each time I've ensured I complete the information in the application to match Azure AD perfectly. Over the years, I've done multiple Microsoft Partner enrolments for various businesses and this is the first time I've encountered this nightmare. It literally should not be this technical; it's filling in a basic form.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
Same here... even after I'd deleted my Partner account, when I retried, it assigned me the same Partner IDs, which tells me the result will be pretty much the same. I can see residual information from my previous registration. This is so frustrating! We shouldn't be spending days upon days trying to enrol into a partner program. This is typical Microsoft fiddly products, solutions and processes. By contrast, when I joined the Google Partner Advantage program, I finished signing up at 12:40PM and got the "Thanks for applying to Google Cloud Partner Advantage" email advising they'll get back to me and at 12:42PM (yes, 2 minutes later!!!) received my Welcome email confirming that I'd joined the programme. Time is money! If I had to charge a client for the time I've spent trying to work around Microsoft's broken process, they'd be a few thousands poorer by now. Microsoft simply does not care and I know whose products I will be pushing mostly now. It just irritates me that most of the cloud solutions I've typically delivered for clients are on the Microsoft platform, and there's no way around dealing with the Microsoft Partner program team, otherwise I wouldn't bother with this verification debacle.6.8KViews0likes2CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
eddiekax96 Thank you for the detailed steps and taking the time to put them together. One thing I would say is that deleting the tenant is not an option as it's the tenant associated with all our identities, mailboxes, data, etc. However, I have tried pretty much this same process using a completely separate tenant and new domain name, ensuring the company and contact details in the tenant matches the information in the Partner application. I do suspect, given the identical generic responses everyone is receiving that Microsoft is using some kind of rubbish AI to process these verifications, which would explain the inflexibility, lack of clarity and ridiculous insistence on every detail matching EXACTLY, which could be a problem, considering the different formats used by domain registrars and other providers who generate the invoices, etc used for verification. In any case, I'll create a new dev tenant as you suggested and attempt the process against and report back so if it works, others can follow the same process. Thanks.6.9KViews1like5CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
Shout out to Nicole Dezen on Twitter, the Microsoft Chief Partner Officer & CVP Global Partner Solutions. I did tonight. She may not listen one person but the more people raise an issue publicly about this and let Microsoft know we’re switching customers to the likes of GCP & AWS, maybe someone senior will actually do something about the issue. Microsoft talks about building “stickiness”, which is ensuring customers use as many services as possible to ensure it makes little sense to move but, at the rate the Verifications team is going, prospective partners will be forced to move their customers to the likes of Google and Amazon if they feel they’ll treat them like valued partners, unlike Microsoft.6.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
I received that exact message, word for word. I honestly think they are using some flawed AI to perform these verifications because I can’t envision that actual humans are looking at this, seeing the frustration and responding with exactly the same blurb, completely disregarding what partners are trying to explain to them.7.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
jnicholson That’s been exactly my experience. I’ve even gone as far as purchasing an additional domain, ensuring the invoice details are EXACT but no luck. In the event there was an issue with the initial submission that’s causing a problem on the backend, I even deleted the Partner account and tried with a completely different tenant and domain (since they’re saying “the domain isn’t eligible”) and the same thing happened. Likewise, I’ve also lost revenue with this process. JillArmour If so many partners are encountering this issue, this needs to be escalated to someone in Microsoft who can actually get to the bottom of it and resolve the issue, rather than potential partners going around in circles. We do not have time to run our businesses and burn hours upon hours dealing with a Microsoft process that is clearly not working. I’ve worked with Microsoft Partners and the Partner programme for over 10 years and have never experienced such nonsense. Microsoft talks about caring about its partner community and relies heavily on its partner network to drive adoption of its products and services. Therefore, if partners are impacted, Microsoft will be impacted. This is not good enough from Microsoft!7.1KViews1like7CommentsRe: CSP Verification Issues Continue
I feel your pain and wish I could tell you what to do to resolve it. The verification team is completely useless and it seems they’re isolated from the rest of Microsoft Partner support so everyone else I’ve spoken to on the Partner Support team has basically said there’s nothing they can do but try to contact the team but it has so far been fruitless. I ended up deleting my Partner account in the end.7.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Partner account verification problems - support not responding.
ep_blogs Thanks for the support. However, the signup process was already using my Microsoft 365 account so it's linked to AAD. The problem is that the verification team does not provide clear guidance on what isn't meeting the criteria and why. Therefore, we're going around in circles where they ask for something, I provide it and then they say the domain doesn't meet the criteria but then ask me to provide an invoice for the domain showing the entity name. Either the domain doesn't meet the criteria or it does. Either way, I'm done and will simply be moving my customers over to a competitor, where feasible.1.2KViews0likes1CommentCSP Verification Issues Continue
Can someone please decipher the below and tell me what the verification team is actually asking for or what they mean by "the domain provided in your submission is insufficient for the requirements of our program"? Thank you for your Document Apologies for the inconvenience, However, the domain provided in your submission is insufficient for the requirements of our program. Can you send us a recent additional document that contains the domain and company name or a contact name as they appear on your account? we need additional document in which Domain and Entity Name or Partner Name is available, and the Documents submitted must have been issued within the previous 12 months. The fact that they're asking for additional documents showing the domain and entity name after saying the domain is insufficient for the requirements of the program is confusing. I've provided them with endless documents containing the information they ask for. Yet, they come back with the same generic response without explaining what else could be provided. At this stage, I'm deleting my organisation from the Microsoft Partner portal.SolvedRe: How to appeal a rejected partner profile in the verification process
That’s exactly been my experience. It’s always been unintuitive but it has gotten significantly worse. This experience has put me off the Microsoft Partner Program because I cannot envision what it would be like when I need support on behalf of a client. In contrast, signing up for their competitor’s partner programme has been clear and straightforward. Navigating the ins and outs of the Microsoft Partner Program has always been a bit of a dark art but it seems to be getting worse.12KViews7likes7CommentsRe: How to appeal a rejected partner profile in the verification process
JillArmour This is one of the most frustrating processes I've encountered. It's almost as if the verification team either do not read the documents supplied to them or are hardwired to be as obstructive or vague as possible. It's been a month now that I've tried to get my verification sorted, despite providing the documents requested, raising a support request and even resorted to contacting the Partner team via Twitter. Yet, Partner Support takes ages to respond and then come back asking me for what I've already provided and, in some cases, reply saying the documents are not suitable without explaining why, despite them being the invoices showing domain ownership, as requested. At this stage, I'm seriously considering no longer promoting Microsoft's cloud products and focusing on a competitor's solutions for which my company is also a partner. Is there a way to escalate the verification process to someone who will actually be helpful and efficient in resolving the issue?12KViews15likes13Comments
