Change how Teams room name appears to other attendees
Can anyone advise if it is possible for the name of the Teams Room to show as something other than the display name set? For instance, say that the meeting room is called 'Meeting Room 1' but we would like it to show up as just 'Organisation Name' to other people joining the meeting. Would this be possible without actually changing the name of the room, as the staff book the rooms through Outlook and we can't have them all be called by just the organisation name.Re: Repeater screen for Teams Rooms
Hi Harald, Thanks for your response. My wording wasn't great; to clarify, I don't want to have shared content on one screen and video of attendees on another, but rather just an extra screen to show the same as the existing ones. Wireless HDMI transmitters are looking like the best solution for this as we don't want cables running over the floor if we can help it. Slightly worrying what you mentioned about the current solution regarding one screen for content and the other for video, as we use this in other rooms at our offices; I hadn't seen any news regarding this. My organisation would like to be able to bring in 2 extra screens for large meetings so that everyone has a clear view of the content being shared. The best solution we've come up with so far is to join two extra devices into the meeting via the Teams Web-app and set it to full screen, however this isn't the most streamlined solution, and has been prone to issues. Other than using a HDMI splitter to literally duplicate the display from the normal screen, can anyone else suggest a better solution?Split meeting room booking
My organisation has a large meeting room, which, when not in use, can be split into 2 smaller individual rooms. The large room is Room 1, and the smaller rooms are Room 2 and Room 3. Currently, we need to remind users that when Room 1 is needed, they need to also book Rooms 2 and 3. (I've recently added a MailTip on Room 1 to remind users of this). Ideally we would have exchange set up in such a way that when Room 1 is booked, Rooms 2 and 3 are automatically booked out for the period of time Room 1 is required. As well as this, we would like Room 1 to be non-bookable when either room 2, 3 or both, are already booked. Can someone recommend a way to do this?1.9KViews0likes1Comment
