About half a year ago I noticed that sometimes "Waiting tasks" in SSMS increase very much for a very short time.
Usually "Waiting tasks" is kept at zero and rarely exceeds 10, but once or several times a day in very different times they jump to more than 1000 (for a few seconds), and just as quickly disappear. Although no more increased load on the server at that moment did not notice, and all systems are working as usual.
I also noticed that the number of "Waiting tasks" is constantly increasing. Half a year ago they were less than 1000, and now more than 1000.
I can't figure out what this anomaly is and how to fix it. Maybe someone has encountered this?
