Might be a dumb question. If we enable retention policy to retain content even after 8 years fro Exchange mailbox, SharePoint and OneDrive for entire organization, will there be any charges from Microsoft for storing this content for such a long time? I am not able to find exact answer anywhere.
No, the price is already included in the cost of the E3/E5 license. Although there was a rumor few months back about Microsoft charging for this, which was refuted.
Even if the user left the organization(removed ID from AD as well as license), still the content will be there for that specific retention period right? And we can restore it from there right?
