Is E5 license for AIP Scanner account required?

Hi,

We are busy setting up AIP on-premises and Azure Cloud and were wondering whether AIP Scanner service account needs the E5 license too? (we have E5 at the company).

Hi - The AIP scanner can be used with a variety of SKUs. For more information please see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/microsoft-365-service-descriptions/mi... . For automatic labeling you will need M365 E5/A5/G5 or one of the other 4 SKUs listed on that page. I hope this helps.
