Enabling Litigation Hold => does is disable the Clutter feature automatically?

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

I wonder if enabling Litigation Hold disables automatically the Clutter feature?

In the article (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff637980(v=exchg.160).aspx) it mentions the following :

Automated deletion mechanisms such as messaging records management (MRM) may be suspended. This could result in large volumes of email cluttering the user mailbox, and thus impacting user productivity. Suspending automated deletion also doesn't prevent users from manually deleting email.

But does that mean that Clutter is disabled automatically?

Thanks for clarification,

Tom

Solution

No. Clutter does not delete messages, and even if it did, what the article refers to is completely different mechanism.
